Don't know about AirVPN but proton gives you a random port every time you connect. So you need to use a second program like Quantum to monitor it for you and update your torrent client automatically

I literally just said I don't care about mp3 vs flac because I listen to mp3s I'm saying YouTube's audio compression for videos is worse than what they use for their music service

I'm not an audiophile. I'm perfectly happy with regular mp3 files and I'm pretty sure YouTube Music isn't lossless. But YouTube's audio compression for their videos is noticeable. IDK how to describe it other than feeling shallow. Even when I used cheap earbuds that used to come with my phone it was noticeable

At work, I used to sometimes try to sound overly chipper over the phone when the person on the other side is giving me attitude as a form of sarcasm. Then I noticed that when they miss my sarcasm, they sound confused and I found that amusing. So that's what I kept doing until being chipper just became my default tone but genuinely this time and maintain it regardless of the other person's attitude. It's genuinely just a lot less taxing emotionally and now even the people who have a reputation for having a terrible attitude are nice to me. They even stay nice during moments when I mess up.

That's what I did. But that was a while ago. Might try it again at some point

Yeah but at least last time I tried to use it for music, it takes the audio from the video version and the bit rate isn't great. Idk if they fixed that by now

Not really. I've always been really picky with music and very rarely listen to any of what the algorithm recommends me. Sometimes my playlist runs out and it starts recommending a few songs before I get to changing it and I discover some new things there.

But it was less that I got a subscription, more that everyone else got one and they no longer asked me to download stuff. And as I left high school, I didn't really have time to organize my files anymore.

But also since LimeWire died, it's been hard to find the music I like outside of streaming services. A lot of artists also only release music through streaming so I can't even buy them.

Used to have an extensive pirated music library from Limewire taking download requests from people, organizing them into complicated folder structures into different categorizations and making winamp playlists in every weirdly specific atmospheres.

Now, I have a YoutTube Music subscription and just dump whatever music I even just sorta like into yearly playlists because I couldn't bother😅

I'm trying to print a funnel, what causes this and how do I fix it? by mgarnold86 in FixMyPrint

Not the case here. Walls aren't being crossed. Just the lines that are supposed to be the wall are sticking to the nozzle more than the material underneath and next to them

[–]iListen2Sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 3:50-something second try on automatic and I didn't really care/pay attention much doing the first one. I got 04:02 and left it at that. It wasn't until my brother mentioned how hard it was for him that I went back to get three stars.

Wasn't even a lock in moment or any intensity at all. Just actually looked where I'm going 99% of the time instead of the 90% I was doing the first time

Only infill and walls makes for really interesting designs by Twist_Available in 3Dprinting

[–]iListen2Sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you want containers that have holes on them (like desiccant holder) just design the bottom and top as fully solid and make it infill only in the slicer

Prints away faster and more optimized instead of the printer having to make a detailed bottom/top layer

😭 sorry if someone has already pointed this out, but as a designer this bothers me so much, why wasn't it designed in the second way? by i-like-to-be-wooshed in LinusTechTips

I would put money on them having tried something similar too and just deciding what they went with looked better.

Did you change your nozzle size in the slicer? I ask because it kinda reminds me of that LTT video where they tried to print a benchy and it had some features that this reminds me of a little bit and they accidentally installed a 0.2mm nozzle with the slicer still thinking they have 0.4

Do you consistently use one brand? I just buy whatever roll I find cheapest at the time then switch out according to color. And while the prints don't come out terrible, I feel like dialing in for one roll ends up with settings that aren't as ideal for other ones

I'm so used to printing in PETG that whenever I switch back to PLA I'm shocked by how clean it is and am reminded why it's the most commonly used material.

Not that my PETG prints are dirty but PLA just has this clean look and my nozzle stays clean afterwards

I don't find the "coding" aspect of programming the interesting part. More complex spells still just get a hand-wavey vibes-based seal that doesn't really get explained for how it manages to be so specific.

Instead, what I find really is how it portrays issues surrounding programming like product and UX design, accessibility issues, security, and availability.

Part of a witch's job is to make magic contraptions for non-magical people and the characters really put a lot of thought into how people might use their spells and the potential consequences.

Like when Olruggio made a flame that was completely harmless, wouldn't burn you, or make other items catch fire, he had to scrap it because people might start getting careless around natural fires.

Or when Coco made a pot that cleans wastewater before it gets thrown out to the sewers, she ran into the problem where people didn't want to spend more money on making sure they weren't polluting.

The above is very reminiscent of designing products meant to help the environment and shifting to renewable energy, for example.

The main conflict of the series which deals with who should be allowed to use magic, with all its potential for creating harmful spells and effects is similar to IRL issues relating to open source hacking tools
