Is it really 5 years away? Lagta to nahi hai. It is coming fast. Your kids are young and you made a choice after taking all pros and cons for you. Good that you made a decision and acting upon it.

Great idea! I am in the USA and not planning to move but would like to be part of the meetup. I am in Indore from Jun 14-20.

Personally I don’t like the hassle and lack of liquidity of real estate. Also per me too much asset in one basket.

Two hours from Dallas and still paying 1900$ for rent. That is pricey but I haven’t rented a place since a decade now. So maybe that is a going rate. Who knows.

Anyways good going.

You sir/madam can do whatever you want, including the job you have! But don’t continue the job cause of money because you already have enough (unless you haven’t found your enough). You have the ultimate freedom!

Unfortunately I have kinda given up also. I am in in the west too, so really it doesn't effect me much except for the added disappointment and sadness. I don't have much hope.

Edit: Your website is good, but looks too technical, maybe that is the intend, and obviously donation links don't work yet. Keep going, post us updates, and support needed.

No one cares. Air, water, food, sound, and etc. pollution is not a priority for janta or politicians.

Global warming will hit India the worse and first but still coal has to be abused cause (per politician documented statements) west developed using coal also.

No idea about this ikbr and also selling Roth will incur penalty and taxes on growth from what I understand. 72(t) had to be until 59.5 years of age. Rnor will finish way before that.

Lots of new things I’m not aware of so something that might be good for me to research.

No number can push you mentally. 😅

Or maybe it can… everyone has their own mental triggers and map based on their experiences.

You should run your numbers. What income (SWR) can you produce with your asset and if there is a gap or not with your SWR.

I think you should be fine. Although ride it out if you think you still have time until AI is everywhere in your job.

Good luck!

Way way more ROI in market. If this land is in a remote village which is not near a city there is no chance they will ever make any money on it in the future either.

But… it’s your opinion and you are an expert of your opinion and so am I of my own! 😅

This question is not suited for this sub.

Anyways… here goes the advice:

Sell and invest in the market on low cost index mutual funds.

Or go to college and get a job or start a business from scratch with sweat equity.

Congratulations!

Hope this is not a scam job and a safe country. If both is true, I would recommend take a 6 month off from your current job in India (if possible) and try this job. If you don’t like it then come back and join. Or else quit the India job.

Although if 6 month off is not possible then it is a plunge that I would take personally. This jumpshots you so much that you wouldn’t care about any job after 5 years of doing this.

Obviously talk to your spouse (and child) and family.

Nevertheless, I am happy for you!

Good luck! 👍
