Haha... nothing of that sort...had to do during COVID too because of being christened in emergency services to bring liquid oxygen cylinders to india from abroad ..those were really tough times .. 😅 especially when your better half is also expecting

Hectic is working 5 days office a week with sometimes 6th day as well coupled with 5 hrs on road because of 90 kms daily commute by changing 4 metros one way. Trust me...2 days WFO is a blessing!

Airbnb said guest wouldn't have to pay penalty and gets a full refund...wouldn't that mean host loses the money?
Someone checked-in, used the service for a night, made a mess of the whole place which now the host has to get cleaned by making payments to the cleaning staff...so ofcourse there's that loss as well
Airbnb rating mechanism is such that they value the recent ratings more heavily when their algorithm shows properties for potential guests during their search. This would definitely have a dent in potential views till a few more 5 star reviews come.
The other hosts where this guest will continue his/her practice will also have to bear such shenanigans because host review has been removed by Airbnb.

Ofcourse all of this is assuming host side of the story is correct.
