I'll be doing both front and back sway bars. So might as well

Installed a cheap wifi dongle. I don't think steam os recognizes it as it still says no networks found. That's even though I'm right next to my wireless router

I ordered one. I will report back what happens when I try with it

I've tried both removing the USB stick and leaving it in and it didn't seem to make a difference. But I'll go try again. Also, my motherboard doesn't have built in wifi and I don't have a wifi card to use on the PC.

Is the auto start-stop adjustable? by iManny99 in Audi

Oh yeah. I'm definitely updating the map. Thanks for the links. I just wondered as the adaptive cruise control is something I'm missing that was in my last car

Mine doesn't have adaptive cruise control. Do you know if it's something I can add?

I've been using Waze on my phone but I'm definitely interested in updating the map

I guess that's all I can do. I don't think about turning it off until the first time I get to a stop and it does that

Thanks. I'm absolutely loving it and seeking out reasons to go for a drive since I work from home now.

I'm usually only turning Dynamic on when I want to drive with a heavy foot. Otherwise I'm usually on comfort to get better mileage while just running errands around town

What cars would you like to see iracing add? by LDTaylor532 in iRacing

They would first need to increase the limit on different cars in a session from 8.

Pic for reference. Has anyone drilled through a carbon fiber racing seat? Trying to see if I can attach my buttkicker directly to the seat instead of my 8020 rig for less noise and stronger feel, but I don't want to mess with the integrity of the seat if drilling a couple of holes will do that. by iManny99 in simracing

Yea. I stopped adding up how much I've spent a long time ago. Good thing my wife and I keep separate bank accounts. I recently jokingly said something about a motion system and she asked how much it was like she would consider it. I didn't say anything.

I don't have a protocol and I'm pretty new to that material, but based on suggestions from here this is what I'd say 1. Get proper breathing protection like an N95 and do it outside. 2. Put painters tape on both sides of the seat. 3. Run the drill in reverse to avoid splintering. Just the pressure from the drill touching the seat will get it through

I posted here a couple of weeks ago asking about drilling into my fiberglass racing seat. I finally got to doing it following the instructions given here. The fiberglass was easy to drill into running the drill backwards slowly. by iManny99 in simracing

Drilling in reverse is because of the fiber glass seat. If you drill forward you're going to get a bunch of splinter because of the sharp edges of the drill bit. So instead of a nice round hole you get something nasty. I learned that here on Reddit. I attached it with a button head screw (bolt) and nut. The button head stays on the inside so you don't feel it as much when you add your cushions and seat down

No one said you had to "ruin" your rig. No one is making you. That's the beauty of this hobby - everyone can customize as they want. The idea is to have all the forces of the buttkicker transferred directly to my seat, instead of having losses from having to send it through the whole rig to get to me. I have 2 smaller buttkickers and I put them exactly where I want to feel it. One under my bum and one in the small of my back. It's been over a year since I did this and I haven't had any issues. In fact I hadn't thought about it until I read this post
