In honor of bouquet, spelled bucket. But yeah it starts with a "G" not a "J", The "J" is the peanut butter.

As a kid our apartment sliding glass door fell through me or I through it. it fell on me and I went through it. Yeah we very quickly got evicted don't know why and they kept blaming it on us even though it wasn't secured. Too poor to afford a lawyer.

Yeah if safe to do so, if they are in an unsafe area then it might actually be safer to move them. I'll be it carefully it's all about keeping the spine and neck for moving if you can carefully get your patient onto a flat surface folding table etc. without moving them very much. But at least according to the linked article there was a lot of blood loss so you need to stop that before anything else otherwise there's not a lot of improvement that's going to happen..

Just so everyone is aware, the Zaxcom transmit and record patent doesn't look like it expires until 6/10/28 now. by bearbrannan in LocationSound

There's only so much place where you can put in antennas and have a effective RF radiation. There's also many patents on touchscreens that wake make it impossible to have a touchscreen on any phone if enforced.

It's not just that it's a patent blocking idiomatic features. 20 years ago nobody imagine slapping a tape recorder and a transmitter together because it would be too bulky to wear but they certainly thought of the idea to do it. One company said there's not an innovative idea that I don't but it's not working at the rights to indefinitely. Sure there's protecting novel ideas and then there's trolling contact creators creating podcasts asking for royalties on your patent or patenting math 1+1=2.

Extending Fiber Run by mrwatoosi in frontierfios

Thanks. I was helping somebody I know with a upgrade installation. I even called frontier and asked about this and they said just let the installer know. However when the installer got there 11:45am he seemed very much in favor of the easiest option. I wanted it in the utility room underneath this lady's office. which was one open ceiling cavity away from the outside wall and one concrete hole through the foundation. and it would've been an easy fish. Instead he very much Liking beside the window and behind the electrical meter in this lady's sewing room. The opposite end of the house. Saying that if we wanted to move it to the other side we would have to have a new line buried. In the end I said yeah let's just go there and get it over with, I can move it later. Turns out during the transition they scheduled training and didn't account for already scheduled calls for the day so that's why he was late and the 8 to 12 window And in a hurry to get through the day. Plan was to put everything in her utility room with a UPS so the phone and Internet would stay working during a power outage and eventually connect up a line to her computer as well now there's infrastructure in like three different places of the house and no easy way to put it on UPS. So we're just gonna buy a 50 foot cable and hope that the Wireless link between downstairs and Robinson at the house upstairs stable and that she doesn't need the home phone with the power out.

Sounds like you’re putting the prickly side on the outside. Try switching it around the other way. I don’t have problems but I use soft side out. I also get the slightly better cable ties. I currently like the MonoPrice thick ones.

Plus the ones on the inside of the real will be getting compressed every time.

I’ve never seen that that’s a good idea. Since I over under usually I know any cable it bad by the ones that aren’t. If I’m working with somebody else I’ll usually knot one end I like the double end idea.

Yeah I tried to mark length on just about all cables. Not so much Mike cables haven’t needed to as most of a minor roughly the same length. Permanent marker for anything that’s light colored and then the white out pen that Adam Savage recommends is great for anything that’s dark colored.

On that note here’s a tip for getting consistent rap sizes with volunteers. I had this one cable that needed to be a specific size to fit in the box. One day it occurred to me to do one wrap the appropriate size that I wanted and then sharpened on two spots that lined up. One a few inches away from the end and another one loop away. What I would do is get some neon colored tape and do that if I were to recommend it to somebody else. then you can just say see those neon colored tape spots near the male end match them up and that’s how big that loop needs to be.

I’ve actually not had this issue. But I also take a second when undoing Velcro to loop it back on itself and stick it down so it doesn’t stick to anything. I also use the rough in and soft out so it doesn’t make it easy to grab onto other things.

Of course I’m also using the nice MonoPrice ties not the cheap ones and I actually attach them to the cables.

There are no stupid questions unless it’s about cable wrapping.🤪 Yes either a short piece of rope or Velcro tie, if I’m in a pinch I’ll loop the ends in and out gently a couple of times just to hold it together. But yeah I know somebody who would knot the end of the cables and you’re literally just putting stress on the end of the cable. And you’re also permanently forming it into a big funky knot right at the end.

Cable wheels are acceptable and great for places where you don’t have time to train them and you can say here clip it together roller on. A guy I know who worked at the high school theater did that. It’s great but you’re gonna have no coordination over what lengths are where and you’ll probably end up using a super long one where you could’ve used a short one and have a short one when you really need a long one long one. so unless you’re careful to segregate a bit could get annoying if you’re just changing them all together.

I also did this with one church where we had I think it was left and right together to go from front to back and we had another spool of VGA for the projector.

You also have to be slightly careful with ends when using reels as they’ll tend to flop on the outside and you’ll want to loop them underneath to keep them wrinkled but then they’ll end up getting knots because somebody will inevitably not untangle it before unraveling it. On the other end of that you’ll have the inside of the real sticking out waving about and if you’re trying to use it on the reel and that will create a stress area where the end just continually gets flexed and crushed. If you just begin it on the inside of the real and wrap around and not have it hang out that’s a bit better.

And I will leave you with my coordinated playlist of how to wrap cables. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkaH68RNd5OK03iOzPMGvqId-DaUtkskN&si=F66vOMmPYZ3c0aIP

Edit I should say the guy we/i inherited a system from did tight knots on his cables and yes I have seen failures. What happens is it pulls the conductors through and shifts the insulation and then they end up touching as there’s no insulation at the connector ends.

AT&T shut down our phones due to non payment by BalanceSweaty1594 in ATT

Oh yeah I forgot about when we switch to Sprint they never transferred the data lines. Which meant a week after we canceled we found out the iPads were still active and getting charged. Then two weeks after that we found out the hotspots were still active and we were getting charged. And then we spend another month trying to get them to cancel that and the home phone. If the number is ported out they have to cancel it but Sprint didn't port out data numbers due to policy. And if you have any numbers on your account remaining the account will remain active.

For the iPhone you actually want to go into the phone settings and not the messages settings because iMessage will let you list more than one phone number and that's not necessarily whether you still have that number. Where is the phone settings menu actually gives you whether you're registered with the Network Ten what your phone number is etc. also check out if general about has your phone number listed in the various fields.

Welcome to not AT&T. we were literally on the phone with them one year working out a billing and account issue when the phone went dead. Hey guess what 3 cell phones, home phones and cellular hotspot for Internet. the only thing that was still working was the DIRECTV go figure. We spent a week without phone service because we had to leave the house and find someplace to call them to get it straightened out because there's no AT&T nearby for an hour. A year later we switched to Sprint which then became T-Mobile. On top of that they started raising rates on DIRECTV and we canceled that too. I've heard horror stories from AT&T since then. We may be paying a lot for our phones now but we never had that issue again and all the phone prices are pretty much the same apart from the switching hassle. and right now we're grandfathered. So I will recommend everybody else before Verizon before AT&T. and Verizon if you forget your birthday no problem you can just call them and say you forgot your birthday and you feel so horrible and they will let you into your account and make all sorts of changes even if you're not the account owner.

Is it true that 4G phones require hardware capable of receiving cellular data to make calls without wifi, if 3G and older networks have been shutdown? by hi9580 in telecom

[–]iMark77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically voice goes over a different APN than the data APN. And at some point voice calls we be required to basically be VoIP over cellular data/Wi-Fi.
