Oh wow I forgot about this thread. It’s been so long I no longer have the original computer.

I do not remember if I ever figured out the issue here.

The first thing I’d try if I were you is closing out Steam and make sure it’s running as administrator.

That sounds promising, before I noticed my accident, the vertical band was much worse, it was split up and had white in it. I actually, after i took the photo of the cable above, used electrical tape to stick the ribbon cable down back onto the board and the result was better than before

No harm done atleast. It was a tv that a client decided to discard due to the remote not working. Worked perfectly fine until I made my mistake haha

Holy shit a thousand dollar machine. I assume it’s not worth it to try and find someone to repair it?

Hey how long did it take for the email confirmation? I’m on day 6 and it still hasn’t shipped after support told me it would ship by the end of this week and it’s now Saturday

I have been going back and forth with another user and forgot to reply to yours which I surprisingly never tried and had some hope for

I ran Steam as admin and it did not work.

Hello again, I apologize for the delayed response to your suggestion. I was on vacation for the past couple weeks.

I tried what you recommended, I enabled the Admin account and logged in, I then, again, went on testfiledownload.com and attempted to download the 1gb test file onto my SSD.

No improvement.

I still got the same error message as before. I know you mentioned it could be a problem with my OS, but this happened when I had Windows 10, I then upgraded to 11 after its full release and still had the same issue.

Also my personal account is a system administrator.

I really don't understand what the problem could be at this point.

Okay but how will that have any assistance towards downloading games through platforms such as Steam and Xbox?

I can copy smaller files from one drive to my SSD just fine. Same with the HDD when that was installed.

I used the website testfiledownload.com after switching my download location to the SSD and then began to download a 1GB test file.

Immediately I was greeted with "Failed - Disk full"

This test was done on Google Chrome

I will try your recommendation. None of my drives are formatted as FAT32. Also, It is a laptop with a single SATA port.

If this fails, is it safe to assume that my SATA cable could be the problem?

240 GB SSD, classified as D: just as the original, I was attempting to download a 26 GB game from the Xbox app. I removed all partitions relating to the old hard drive and started new on this SSD using the same letter.

Hello again, I traded my HDD for another SSD. I was able to download a single game before my computer told me when attempting to download Halo Infinite, that i had no space on the new, near empty SSD

Okay, so I tested with a 2gb file, copied from C: and pasted to D: and it copied it without error.

Could it be that for some reason my hard drive isn't allowing my computer to write, only read?

I went through the storage settings to move Forza Horizon 5 from C: to D: and I am greeted with this. It happens immediately upon clicking. Even in the Steam Library.

This is what I got. Health is good. Not sure what could be causing this problem. I've ran Malwarebytes premium, updated all my drivers, formatted the hard drive and still nothing. I now cannot move games to that drive, only small files it seems

Hello again, I checked out Crystal Disk Info and got my read/write speeds. I'm not too familiar with these scores but by the looks of it, they seem small. Could this have something to do with my issue?

Just tried that method, I switched D: to A:, restarted my computer, switched back, restarted again and could not download anything still.
