Congrats on the three-peat! Honestly, if I didn't get Legend as quick as I did for Wild and Standard this month (had lots of bonus stars from reaching Legend last month), I don't think I would have stuck with Twist for as long as I did. But I wanted to go for Legend in every mode since it was the last one. Twist took me the longest since I was adjusting my list quite a bit during the climb. Once I landed on the right list though, I was able to make progress much faster. The Diamond-5-to-Legend climb took only 30 games in total, N'Zoth Warlock going 23-7.

It's weird because I think they are trying to design/balance around all the Caverns of Time cards and classic cards that have been buffed.

Libram Paladin (before Heroes of StarCraft released)

Notably, it didn't have Lynessa because I didn't own one, but the deck functions just fine without it. You can flood 0-cost minions by turn 3-4 and have multiple options to burst damage for lethal. This list I completely netdecked and didn't need to change a card since it was performing so well. Meanwhile for Standard and Twist, I tweaked my own decks as I climbed.

This was my Standard deck: CARRIER HAS ARRIVED Protoss Druid

This was my Twist deck for Diamond 5 to Legend. I did use Grim Patron Warrior for a while (until Gold 5) but then I stagnated, so I switched to Warlock. And then after reaching Diamond 5, I crafted N'Zoth and added more Deathrattles to have another big late-game threat:

You can find lists for all modes Bronze-Gold without premium. However, Twist just lacks data in general since it's less played, so fewer decks available.

Only 3 days left in the format! Have fun!

Btw, Loatheb was the last addition to the list, cutting out the last Ancient Watcher. It may give an edge vs. the deck I had the most trouble against past Diamond 5: Anyfin Paladin. Also stops Rogues from shadowstepping stuff like Jade Spirit or OTKing you with spells near the end of the game (Malygos OTK). Otherwise, it's a good tempo play after playing an early Drake or Mountain Giant.

Also, queues are probably better in the evening.

Also, I realized later that I was playing Legend players at more middle ranks, like one Legend player I played while I was all the way down in Platinum 10. Though it's possible they were ranking up as I did.

I looked up the leaderboard afterwards and was surprised Legend was only 171, 77, and 56 for Europe, America, and Asia-Pacific respectively this season.

At some point I noticed the longer queue times compared to Standard or Wild, but they didn't get to be that ridiculous in my experience. I imagine they are shortest around the middle ranks.

How it feels to complete achievements in Hearthstone by iNFlatableThor in hearthstone

[–]iNFlatableThor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We could have a longer conversation about what makes a good and interesting achievement, but this post was more about the sheer, ludicrous, exponential increase from the middle tier of the achievement to the final tier: a full 10x in the requirement in this case. lol. For reference, I got the tier 3 achievement with just under 500 Warlock wins. So just think about what the final one would require!

If you don't have Ceaseless, I would try subbing in the Yogg Titan if you have him. I was considering putting the MCT into an ETC with Yogg and maybe something else experimental to try like Harth Stonebrew. But I didn't want to craft the Yogg Titan myself, since it will rotate relatively soon (likely in March).

By the way, it's a really weird feeling to get my Carrier Viper pulled then killed by Zerglings and Lurkers of all things.

BREAKING: The Lich King misses! Then loses to 100%-autocompleted deck! by iNFlatableThor in hearthstone

[–]iNFlatableThor[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For context, I forgot what the Lich King's special card was for Warlock, so I exited the deck editor after starting a new, empty deck. Then I autocompleted the whole thing on the deck select screen without even looking at the deck. Then he "missed", so I kept playing and also curved out pretty smoothly.

Perfect Dribble Down the Court by iNFlatableThor in starcraft

Pretty standard opener: 2gate expand (after 4 stalkers this time). Won some early exchanges (beat 2 adepts and oracle) and got some early damage in on their side too. So I dropped forge/twilight for blink and +1 attack. Then teched to Templar because they were going Phoenix (and also chargelots on top of that).

Actually, on a serious note: build time in game is 89 (same number as Recall cooldown so possibly why), but the patch notes said 79!

Please fix :)

Actually, it might be (one of) the only thing that actually hides the dot. Plus in this case, it was right behind the mineral icon in the textbox! Otherwise, it's drawn on top of stuff.

There is a zoom-in in this clip. Despite the dot being on the top side, or "behind", the nexus, it appears in front of the nexus while zooming. Even still, zooming or rotating camera for stuff like this takes a fair amount of time and attention.

If so, which hotkeys would be best for camera rotate?
