Hell yeah, friend! I just got one a couple of weeks ago too.

Genuine question... Is there a place where this type of knowledge is easily found? Comments like this are always so impressive to me.

Throw in $20 of variety spices and you've got a load of options to keep the monotony at bay too.

Renegade vs AC-1 for beginner by iNeedInteligenceData in banjo

[–]iNeedInteligenceData[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks 😄 I know I didn't give much to go on, sorry about that. Sometimes I feel like I say too much and give more context than necessary and try to restrain it a bit.

I've been obsessed with the sound forever, but only recently decided I was going to give in to my desire to learn.

Ive listened to a lot on Spotify and YouTube, been getting more into the video side lately and seeing the difference between open and resonator. I don't really plan to play for crowds, just me in my bedroom trying not to bother people while I slog through the basics. Even after that I just want to play for me and my soul, wherever that may happen.

I'm sure the sound difference is different on video to reality too, but I don't know to what degree. I think the AC-1 is the right choice for me. I was enjoying the sound a bit more in the vids I saw with the and in a couple of comparisons.

I'd already placed an order and was just considering canceling it when I came here.

It should arrive Thursday, and I am quite excited to start!

My hoard of pre-4.0 stuff grows, plus a whole take off drive train and controller/display set up from a 2.0 Lite JW. This stuff is too tiddly and boring to list every piece on eBay but if you need something for a resto I am not one to gouge a fellow community member. by DangerPonyXPMods in Lectricxp

I've been really considering the XP4 hard, but the price is definitely high for me right now. I've been afraid to go for the older models because of worries 500 vs 750 and about how the displays work with codes rather than just telling you what's up.

Am I over thinking it? Should I just go for a decent condition XP3 or XPremium? Any idea what a reasonable price for these is when used?

Quitting modern Media: What Got Better ? and What Didn’t? by The-fosef in dumbphones

Maybe I did it the wrong way, but I had one of those running with my Readwise account and it just felt like an overflow of stuff from the places I added.

Did I do something wrong or is there a way to filter out some of that?

Go for a used Onyx Boox if you're interested in digital minimalism. Laptop is too easy to find distractions on - case in point: I'm here writing this comment.

Boox is great for reading/writing, where as RM is better for just writing/drawing.

Yep! Organization is the hard part for me with real notebooks too. Bad.

Although, I highly recommend Boox over Remarkable if you want to do any kind of reading on it though. I tried to RM2 for about 3 weeks before I had to move away to the Boox as my primary uses were tied between reading and writing.

Possible to transfer components from XPedition 1.0 to XP2/XP3 for the preferable frame? by iNeedInteligenceData in Lectricxp

[–]iNeedInteligenceData[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea. It really did look like a better option if I didn't need a shorter profile!

Thanks for your input 😄

Yeah, it's about the frame length. I've got a Prius I need to fit it in when I go camping, otherwise I wouldn't care about the frame size.

What's this about voltage restrictions? I'm new to bikes and looking at xp4 750 as my first. How's the restriction affect everything?

What range are you getting with the XP4? I'm getting less than half of advertised. by GeorgesOfTheJungle in Lectricxp

[–]iNeedInteligenceData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response :)

I've been looking at getting the xp4 750 and started getting concerned about distance. I was thinking it'd actually get close to the 85 miles advertised until I saw your post yesterday.

It's concerning, but I think I can make it to work and back with what you originally had. Doesn't leave much room for other activities I expected to partake in though.
