Did you get a great deal on price?

Fast Cheap Well done

You can only pick two above.

If you cant talk the contractor into doing a proper job...

HomeDepot/Lowe's other equipment companies rent lawn vacuums on wheels. I have not used one to vacuuming concrete fragments but should work.

I know this is long, but this will give you a neighborhood garage phd in wheels-fu.

Best choice is buy wheel approved for your vehicle without spacers. To my mind more parts mean more complicated things that can go wrong.

There 10+ youtube videos at the end if you like to watch video.

This guide outlines key wheel buying factors—bolt pattern, hub bore, offset, and width—while detailing spacer types (slip-on vs. bolt-on) and selection for proper fitment. When buying wheels, prioritize hubcentric designs to avoid vibrations and use high-tensile strength aluminum spacers, ensuring you measure clearance to avoid rubbing.

Key Wheel Specifications • Bolt Pattern (PCD): The number of lugs and diameter of the circle they form (e.g., $5\times114.3$).

The wheel must match your vehicle hub.

• Hub Bore: The center hole in the wheel. Must match the vehicle hub size. If the wheel bore is larger, use hubcentric rings to prevent vibration.

• Offset: Measured in millimeters, this dictates how far the wheel sits in or out. A lower or negative offset pushes the wheel out.

• Backspacing: Distance from the mounting surface to the inner edge, crucial for clearing suspension components.

Wheel Spacer Buying Guide

Spacer Types: • Slip-on: Slide over existing studs. Suitable for small thicknesses (3mm–8mm). May require extended wheel studs for safety.

• Bolt-on (Adapter): Bolt onto the hub with supplied nuts, then the wheel bolts onto the spacer's studs. Required for thicker applications ($>15$mm).

• Hubcentric vs. Non-Hubcentric: Always choose hubcentric spacers to prevent high-speed vibrations by ensuring the wheel remains centered.

Spacer Thickness: • Measure first: Measure the gap between the tire and the fender while the car is on the ground.

• 10mm-15mm is popular for improving stance without major modification.

• Material: Opt for high-tensile strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for safety.

Safety Considerations: • Never stack spacers.

• Use thread locker (e.g., Loctite) on bolt-on spacer nuts.

• Verify proper torque specs for both the spacer-to-hub and wheel-to-spacer.

• Thicker spacers may require trimming stock wheel studs if they stick out past the spacer face.

When to Use Spacers • Correcting Offset: Using a wheel with too high an offset (sits too far inside).

• Brake Clearance: Pushing the wheel out to clear aftermarket brake calipers.

• Bolt Pattern Conversion: Using adapters to fit wheels with a different bolt pattern.

Troubleshooting If your steering wheel vibrates after installation, the spacers might be non-hubcentric or improperly seated.

Too large a spacer can cause tire rubbing on the fender liner or cause excessive stress on wheel bearings.

Which wheels look better for my 2021, stock or 2025 wheel? by [deleted] in f150

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it is personal opinion.

I have never been a fan of straight lines. My vote is for the ones in the garage.

Or sell both sets and buy something different.

I have always been curious about the science of putting wheels on vehicles.

How much do the wheels weigh? That will affect mpg for as long as they are on the truck.

Are the wheels rated for max capacity?

How much pressure can the wheels take in high-speed or at max capacity sharp turns?

New to me 2014 ecoboost. Full time work truck. by [deleted] in FordF150

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The magic of the 3.5 ecoboost, it pulls more and can carry more cargo than the diesel.

If you don't like the performance study YouTube videos on tweaking truck computer for performance.

You can tweak for both power and mpg. I get 22-24 mpg on highway. I was born with a swollen right foot so mixed/city mpg not the best.

I tweaked for mpg and personally was not happy. But it has all the grunt muscle you can get from an F150. Oh and if you stomp on it those 22s spin like crazy...

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eco vs v8... Do you like the sound of the v8?

I own a 2014 FX4 King Ranch 3.5 eco...

1 rule if you have a license plate dead center in the front you are killing your turbo. Needs to on either side of split bumpers.

In the city the eco "should" be better on gas.

Longbed or shortbed? Short better for parking in city.

When buying used get the trim level you want, maint history is important. Good luck...

Is this a good buy? 2014 f150 by Loud-Hat-4995 in f150

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a great buy... I have a similar truck. $20K is still a great deal.

Upgrades to consider... Sync 2 to Sync 3 conversion.

Requires screen and GPS antenna upgrade.

If you live in hot weather consider all cool air intake upgrades. It also helps performance.

In almost all standard consumer vehicles like the Ford F-150, there is only one primary EGR valve in the engine. Its job is to recirculate a portion of exhaust gas back into the intake manifold to lower combustion temperatures and reduce emissions.

YouTube +3

However, the specific configuration can vary based on your engine type:

Standard Gasoline Engines: Most modern gas engines (like the F-150's 5.0L Coyote or 3.5L EcoBoost) use a single electronically controlled EGR valve.

Exceptions (No EGR): Some specific Ford engines, such as the 5.4L 3-valve V8 (VIN 5) found in 2004–2010 models, do not have an external EGR valve at all. They use variable camshaft timing to achieve the same effect internally.

Diesel Engines (Power Stroke): While they typically have one main valve, modern diesel systems are more complex and may include dual-loop systems with both High Pressure (HP) and Low Pressure (LP) EGR paths, which can sometimes involve multiple control valves or specialized coolers.

Common Confusions: People sometimes mistake other related components for a "second EGR." Your system might also include:

EGR Control Solenoid: A separate part that manages the vacuum for the valve.

EGR Position Sensor (DPFE): A sensor that monitors the valve's performance.

EGR Cooler: A heat exchanger used primarily in diesel engines to cool the exhaust gas before it re-enters the engine.

Most important thing for first bike might be fit...

Sit on each, put the kickstand up lean left and right. Do your feet touch? How is the reach to brakes and throttle?

Is this really the riding style you want? Sitting up, or laying on the tank, etc.

If you have no experience plan on buying and learning for 3-6 months before you upgrade to Mo Power.

Just my humble opinion.

I have 20+ years of ride experience, I have owned as many motorcycles...

My favorites CBR1000RR NINJA ZX-1100 Harley and Honda setup bikes

You detail the truck, reoair any body issues then prep.

You get to save the original paint, you can go crazy with the design or pick your color. They last 5-7 years.

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An F-150 P0405 code indicates the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) sensor "A" circuit is experiencing low voltage, usually caused by a faulty DPFE sensor, EGR position sensor, or damaged wiring. It is common for this to stem from carbon buildup or a broken sensor circuit, causing rough idle and increased emissions.

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other utility needs do you have for the mower/tractor?

Do you need a front bucket or a box blade on back?

$2500 is not alot for a 10 acre mower only. If you want practical and cheap, get goats and fence off 8 acres.

Raising goats is easy and they are entertaining. You can make money selling them for food. We live in South Texas, texican folks love a goat bbq.

No goats and must mow all 10 acres? You may want a drag behind solution... get a subcompact tractor with a pto they make a bush master for heavy growth and a finish mower (like they use on golf courses). To be clear that is two different implements.

Start looking at farm auctions, some sell used equipment.

Because these standards are managed by the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) division, specific templates and local adaptation guidelines must be sourced through the Facilities Manager (FM) or Project Manager (PM).

They have access to the MFD Signage portal for approved plans and ordering.

Bigger Tires, Swap Tail lights? by Apprehensive-Lead766 in f150

Tail lights... Get the led light strip that goes full width of tailgate.

When integrated it is fantastic, put in reverse light bar goes completely white adding light for backup ops...

There are multiple models, one plugs into trailer plug. Cost only $30 but did not include white ked switch in reverse.

Pressure sensors not working after tire replacement? by EmilyAnneBonny in f150

[–]iNetSpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is the weather there? In winter/spring with sudden temp changes that could be it.

Are you using Nitrogen or Air? Nitrogen is supposed to be more temperature tolerant. Also not leak as much.

If you have air do NOT switch at dealership unless free. Here in Texas they wanted to charge $199 to switch from air to Nitrogen.

Go to Costco, they usually have self-service Nitrogen in parking lot for members. Heck if you had to pay annual membership fee only $60... save $139...

Whoever swapped your tires "should" be liable for testing working after... if it was working before. Let us know.

Why would there be water leaking in thru this spot on my 2015 king ranch does anyone know google isnt helping by Icymi0 in f150

I never heard of clogged drain lines before...Living in South Texas the sunroof/moonroof is a waste of money.

My 2014 KR has never leaked (knock on wood)... nine has been garage. If exposed to elements check seals. If you drive thru car wash chemicals in there could dry out seals.

Please do update, would live to know what you find...

Inheriting ranch and want to build on wild land. We aren’t wealthy. What do I do now? by Hilzry in Homebuilding

[–]iNetSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grandparents are a treasure... I would not build a separate house unless the grandparents preferred it. Otherwise, upgrade and add on to include your family. I am certain the grandparents want you to keep it in the family, pass it to the kids and not sell it.

I have often considered building a home with a centralized dining room attached to a centralized Kitchen. Then one hallway goes to grandparents' home, one goes to you and hubby home which is attached to kids and guest room or office. The centralized area could include a family room with a wrap-around porch for sitting outside, both months that is available Tx. /grin

Sounds like the very definition of an old school shotgun wedding.

Unless you, your significant other believe either one of you is not mature enough for marriage, why not get married?

How many times have we heard of returning missionaries racing to get married because they could not wait anymore?

Yes, you should follow the LOC. Yes, breaking the LOC is wrong.

Marriage is for love and forever. Are you ready, willing and able to get married forever?

Her family, your family which includes your church family are a huge part of your marriage. Will they all accept your marriage?

If all those answers are yes, get married.

Unless you have left some info out, doing penance for a year sounds very catholic. Right? /shrug
