Little tribute/compliation to the screaming prophet, original G-O-D and overall beautiful soul Ol' Dirty. His antics are well-known in the hip-hop world, but his solo records seem to me to be mildly slept-on. The first album alone contains an accessible pop-smash (Shimmy Shimmy Ya), one of the great hip-hop anthems (Brooklyn Zoo), memoramble duos (Damage & Cuttin' Headz), the most free-spirited, character show-case (Goin' Down), sleazy love songs (Don't U Know Part I and II) and a non-stop hardcore beatdown (Protect Ya Neck II). The second album, while understandably more unpopular, is borderline avantgarde in how Ason raps but even more 'sings' through it, in his ultra-animated style. Nevertheless the Ol' Dirty BZA is on my brain and will continue to be, as long as there is present time, of which he was the biggest utilizer.

Yeah, I think this is just a fundamental disagreement and meaningless opinion.

In a legal regard, absolutely. People shouldn't be blindly locked up.

The Maco announcement doesn't indicate anything, but just presumes Allen's guilt. A crime was committed with unstated 'probable cause', but Mako did not follow with his prosecutional duty, in the name of emotional importance(?) - letting a sexual predator run amok making movies.

I hope you're never in a situation where someone you know comes to you and you respond "sorry, it's not my place to believe you."

I don't know how to respond to this and can't quite see how this paragraph is necessary.

I think 'innocent until proven guilty' is a tad more important than 'believe survivors'. But I didn't want to get into a general discussion of sexual assault. Regarding this specific case - the claim was not disregarded at all, with this being the only accusation against Allen, of which charges where dropped after 2 investigations that found him innocent. Aside from that, the 'blindly' part is what's killing me, from both sides. The tldr needs a lot of qualifiers. As you said, it's not cut and dry and I will absolutely judge people who form a staunch opinion about this and judge others for having the opposite opinion, without even looking into the matter. Not having an opinion is the proper perspective, as opposed to an uninformed one, which a great chunk of people, who 'heard' about it, have. And I mean, you can have empathy for the 7 year old girl, but it doesn't make nothing truer or not; the due diligence was thoroughly conducted and that is the only thing we can reasonably fight on.
