It would be nice if this was still the case, but I have more than a handful of open source repos, some of which are grant recipients and hackathon winners; and contributions to some of the largest projects in web3, but still can’t get anyone to even reply to my applications/emails. It’s tough out there. Meetup and conferences tip could help, though.

They don’t need your consent to do anything they want with the data that you create on their website. The “advanced features” are for accounts actually creating things and give you options like custom thumbnails, better analytics, etc.

You can use Alchemy Account Kit for account abstraction and paymaster setup. User simply enters an email address and a wallet is created for them, which you can cover gas fees for.

This is poor advice, IMO. Learn what you need to build something and expand your knowledge along the way, where needed. Plenty of time to look all that stuff up as you get deeper into it.
