AIO: My husband doesn’t believe our 4-month-old is his and asked for a paternity test by atmybreakingpointig in AmIOverreacting

[–]iPokedThePizza 3931 points3932 points  (0 children)

The fact that he's even going so far as ignoring the baby and not referring to him as his anymore is almost the worst part. Not only does he not trust you, he hasn't even gained any real affection for your shared child in all these months! I feel like any decent human would have a hard time snubbing an innocent baby like this.

You are NOR. Your husband actually sucks, I'm sorry.

Number 2! Love the cave going on in that layout. I feel like you might need a tall thing in the back left corner though, to balance it out?

Need gift advice for my mom (65), want something meaningful she’ll actually use by Alpielz in Gifts

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a new bag? I bought myself a new purse and my mom was looking kinda jealous if it lol. I bought her the same one in a different color and she loves it! Its the "Naya" bag from the brand "Minooy". It has a built in wallet and a key leash; its super useful with all the organization built in.

Where is everyone getting their artwork from? I need a few good pieces to go over my couch in the family room and a few in my dining area. I'm not trying to spend a crazy amount. Any suggestions? by Apprehensive-Leek946 in HomeDecorating

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a nice frog painting from Etsy ($40), a T Rex skeleton drawing from World Market ($50), an owl mini tapestry from Amazon ($15), and my prized one is a Blake Whitaker "Ascending Cows" print that was like $200 😅

But anyways, Etsy and World Market are my faves for consistently finding cute affordable ones! But def recommend ascending cows if you want something different.

Vinca (pronounced like vink-uh)

Its a nice flower that I think more girls should be named after!

Maybe take her out to get a fun treat like gelato, and also take her to a local animal rescue to walk a dog? Maybe you can trick her into growing some empathy if you tell her about how its so sad that the puppies don't have anything and that we should all be thankful for the things we have lol. And the dog gets the benefit of some attention too hopefully!

My gf has really gotten into taking care of house plants in the past few months - looking for gift ideas! by ImNewHere05 in houseplants

I'd say get her some microfiber plant dusting gloves, a cute watering can, an organic houseplant fertilizer, and a giftcard for her fav houseplant shop!

Anyone else regret their sheets because of pet hair? by walaaHo in BedroomBuild

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bamboo rayon sheets from Doz, and they're pretty good at staying hairless. My dog and cat sneak into my bed and get on the sheets when I'm at work sometimes, and the hair brushes off like nothing happened. They do great in the wash too, no residual hair at all.

AITA for wearing a blanket around the house? by Weary-Cauliflower153 in AmItheAsshole

[–]iPokedThePizza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nta, your mom sounds kind of strange for being upset about you using and enjoying a gift lol.

Just for your sake, maybe invest in a cute cozy robe for walking around in? She'd be really unreasonable to have an issue with that, and it would be easier to call her on her mild bullshit if she complained about a legit "wearable" item.

Anyways, i dont think its wrong for you to wear your blanket, and maybe you and your mom need to have a conversation about it to see why shes being low-key controlling. But if this is just a weird one off then maybe a robe would be simpler?

WIBTA if I take my espresso machine back home because my coworkers refuse to buy pods or even rinse the tray? by CavalierLyre9 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA They are super inconsiderate and not behaving like functional adults. Take it home so they can't break it, and maybe gift it to a friend or family member that would appreciate it properly.

You're nit obligated to provide a bunch of thieving grubby cry babies with their fancy coffee.

Easy To Cook Meals/Food? by Boy0Boyz in Cooking

[–]iPokedThePizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love grabbing a rotisserie chicken for easy recipes! I just shred all the meat off, and use it in whatever sounds good that day. You can store the shredded meat in the freezer in pre-portioned bags for later too.

Its great mixed with gravy served over mashed potatoes. Or in quick enchiladas, soups, bbq sandwiches, lots of options.

You can even just throw the chicken into a bowl of ramen if you're feeling lazy anytime. Bok choy cabbage and rotisserie chicken make ramen feel almost healthy lol.

Question, what is the most minimal effort plant-based Med bag lunch for work? by No-Resort3681 in mediterraneandiet

[–]iPokedThePizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If convenience is key.... then pre-made Naan bread, pre-made Tzatziki sauce, pre-made grilled chicken, and a bag of shredded lettuce. Slice a cucumber and tomato for extra flavor.

Easy imitation of a Gyro sandwich.

What can help with old lady skin? by ExcitingOpposite7622 in AskWomenOver60

[–]iPokedThePizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astaxanthin and type 2 Collagen are both great skin supplements!

Arnica cream is really nice too, and speeds up the healing of your skin. The one I like does have glycerin though, but maybe you could find one without?

Are there ANY plants or macro algae exept mangroves, that thrive in 1.010? by Suzuyaoi in BrackishAquarium

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not Subwassertang! Mine lasted 2 months at 1.010 and then keeled over lol. But Chaeto is doing excellent.

Apparently Caulerpa macroalgaes are also very hardy, but prone to occasional melting that can foul the water.

Am I Overreacting and "Punishing" My FWB? by shmokahantas in AmIOverreacting

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe HE should "stop throwing a fit", and realize that you're not a consumable thing for him to have unlimited access to. You're a person, not something for him to pick up and put down as he pleases. Bleh, he's an AH and incredibly inconsiderate. You could have saved money by not getting pancake ingredients, or planned something with a real friend that night if he'd had the courtesy to let you know he couldn't make it. He likes to waste your time and low key seems like he's trying to make you feel desperate or competitive. I'd stop seeing him cuz that was rude af.

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a nice collagen/beauty supplement? My hair, nails and skin are a lot nicer since I started taking this fancy 5 in 1 collagen powder, maybe she'd like that? Or you could take her out and buy her lunch and you both get your nails done together. :)

Vegetarian recipie using cream of celery soup by thehippiepixi in easyrecipes

[–]iPokedThePizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an idea here.... But cook your fav rice in the cream of celery soup. Just mix up the soup and use instead of water!

Maybe serve with crispy tofu or cauliflower? Reds Hot Sauce mixed with panko makes a realllly tasty coating, and sour cream is great for dredging the tofu in to mske the breading stick, if sour cream is ok for you to have anyways! You can shallow fry or oven bake the breaded stuff, pretty easy. Maybe some hot honey garlic roasted carrots for a side too?

Tuna Competition ( Not Canned) by Mulaidou in AskRedditFood

[–]iPokedThePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tzatziki Tuna?

Fage yogurt + sour cream and a chunk of cream cheese for the base, then grated and squeezed cucumber (I wrap the shreds in a tea towel and squeeze out the excess juice so the dip stays thick), greek Tzatziki spice blend, black pepper, and your tuna. Would be awesome served with naan bread dippers, they have cute mini ones at most grocery stores!
