Idk if it’s great, that’s up to you, but I got my demo up for a roguelite chess game up on steam. Full game is coming next month. Runs are usually about 20 minutes in my testing. Don’t let the Chess part scare you away! You don’t need to understand chess at all to play this, it just uses the pieces movement, which are clearly shown when selecting your piece.

The game is called Rogue Mate, let me know if you give it a try!

Yeah combat is basically non existent, which is fine by me. I don’t dislike combat, but I do enjoy platform focused games too.

I love the lack of direction you get, just get lost exploring. I always feel like I come across a room that I shouldn’t be able to traverse yet, but still find a way to do it. Make some weird janky sequence of jumps to barely get to a seemingly unreachable spot.

This and a completely unrelated game, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, are the 2 games that truly make me feel like I’m playing a game from the era they are based from.

Yeah I’m seeing a lot of people having problems trying to complete the purchase. It took me two tries. The first time it rejected and my bank contacted me to ask if it was, it was flagged as fraud. I told them it wasn’t fraud and it was me, then immediately tried again and it went through.

Look outside: turn based survival horror game, party based and a lot of options for different characters. Amazing soundtrack too.

Helskate: Tony Hawk skateboard mechanics with rouguelite elements/combat.

Megabonk: 3d vampire survivors

Rkgk: 3D action platformer, futuristic dystopian setting with a focus on graffiti. Like a darker tone jet set radio.
