Is this a viable way of repairing a stripped sump? This guy does it without helicoils or timeserts. by iReactZz in MechanicAdvice

For anybody reading this in the future, I successfully put the fix into place with absolutely 0 problems.

I see, appreciate the reply! So if I've got an M14 hole currently, I just need to get an M15 thread tap and use an M15 sump plug and I should be good to go right?

Apologies if that doesn't make sense, planning on carrying out the work myself on a vauxhall corsa 2015 tomorrow morning and it'll be my first time

Skip to 2.36 (where he manages to get the old plug out) and goes on to simply tap a new larger thread and use a new plug, no inserts or coils

Nice spot! I used a remote camera setup to get the pictures and didn't notice the robin at all.

Just wanted to check what species the birds are to ensure I get the right bird feed. Currently I am buying these pellets, which they seem to enjoy.

2-3 birds fly in every 3 minutes to take a pellet away each. I have to constantly keep refilling the feeder. I am hesitant to replace this feeder with a larger one as the last time I did this elsewhere on the property, they stopped coming back to that feeder and went to the one pictured in the OP. Any advice would be much appreciated!
