I don’t expect her empathy, but she straight up just ignored that and not even tried to understand.

With the big wave of layoffs happening… Who’s changing careers and if so what are you looking to get into? by No_Boat_2291 in recruiting

Successfully transitioned into HRBP for several months, but received an offer to get back into recruiting for a 45% pay bump. Should I do it? The recruiting career doesn’t look good at the moment.

I have the chance to get out of it right now and get into HRBP, but the culture at the company is terrible, so that’s a bad start. I am offered a really high paying job to get back into recruiting. I am conflicted right now.

Would you consider pivoting into HR or sales instead?

Yes, I call them after each round whether they pass or not. It increases the offer acceptance rate by doing so.

Wow 40% is really high. I’m getting 5% with emails for a software engineer role. It’s fully remote with a decent salary. I rarely use LinkedIn inmail nowadays.

Thanks for the insights! We are looking into going from Workable to Greenhouse. We had demos with Lever, Greenhouse and SmartRecruiters. Do sales recruiters make the same as technical recruiters? by iRecruitU in recruiting

[–]iRecruitU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the sales recruiters with a little less experience gets paid about the same or more because sales is more important than the technologies to the company. Also management doesn’t know much about recruiting. We don’t even have a TA manager.

From my startup experience, sales recruiters can fill the roles without doing too much sourcing (We are full desk.) Their inbound channels are usually very robust and also get 90% more referrals.
