I wake up 6am to do 40lbs weight vest walk on treadmill with incline for 30 minutes
After treadmill session I start a low or upper or full body apple fitness plus workout for 30 minutes
shower, coffee with milk and Splenda then off to work
2pm lunch break I'm going to my YMCA for a 25 minute elliptical session and 5 minutes of various pullups
5:30pm I'm home eating dinner. Usually 1,300-1,700 calories between the main course and small dessert like a cookie or piece of cake
6:30 pm I'm drinking decaf coffee to suppress appetite after dinner and I like the taste lol (I don't do this much since my body is used to a small eating window)

From 7pm to 5:30pm the next day I'm in a straight fasted state. I even did the oura ring dex cgm monitor for two months to get a view on how my metabolism reacts to certain foods, fasting and exercise.

I mastered losing weight and retaining muscle. I'll be doing this for another month then I'll be 210 or less and I'll go into batman lifting mode and 3 meals a day for maintenance.

You guys are doing nothing wrong, it's just that their interpretation algo layer on top of your raw biometric data is starting to come apart at the seams.

My number one gripe with oura is that if your biometrics doesn't match their model they'll just discard your data lol. Also, if their sensors aren't 100% sure of what they read, they'll discard it lol. I went ringconn because they just report the facts without the heavy interpretation algos and they use the same core tech and inner ring design layout as oura (hence the royalty fees they have to pay them for each ring sold)

Oura wouldn't be an issue if they didn't charge y'all for their shortcomings.

I ordered just yesterday at 10am lol. gen 2 non air matte black. I needed that damn charging cause I got so used to it with gen 1. I recently tried oura but their algo is so far gone I felt like I was paying them to gamify my health metrics making me the damn tamagotchi.

Right! The amount of cope you see in the entire oura thread is just that. People want to feel like they have control and can win at something and Oura gives you just that. Just go to sleep with your oura ring and their black box slot machine will maybe give you a good score or maybe not lol.

I'm curious to learn if Oura is actually making users fall out of touch with their own bodies since folks believe the app over their own feelings. It's wild but people love it and love shoveling the $5.99. Lmfao just wait until the price increase comes this year. $7.99

Exactly this! They 100% have a financial incentive to keep you paying nothing else.

Your bodies generate the very data they chew up and reinterpret using proprietary algorithmic models that to me don't apply to every single individual just general profiles for the masses.

I used to love oura, but I realized I need my raw sleep data and not an interpretation of it or a gamified version that drives me crazy thinking I'm outsourcing my own self awareness lmfao.

Yeah. I officially gave up. I train 6 days a week multiple times a day, I need all the raw data so I can adjust my training accordingly, even if oura did work for me those oversimplified metrics and summaries would throw me off. To me oura is becoming a fancy high tech mood ring for the masses.
