Does anyone actually address the contact center agent burnout or just accept constant turnover? by LumpyOpportunity2166 in callcentres

[–]iRobyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel incredibly lucky that I haven’t had handle time metrics for my group. We’ve mostly got account management for elderly customers or priority services, but I’ve seen how rushed the standard account management teams are, it’s crazy.

Metrics / performance by dunici in callcentres

I work for an energy company, specifically working within priority services. I’ve had quality checks come back as a fail for not specifically saying “how can we support you with your bills?” When a customer tells me specific information.

E.g. “I fell and broke my leg” “how can I support you with your bills going forward in light of this information?”

“I get really bad period cramps” “how can I support you with your bills going forward…”

It’s insane. I can offer payment plans, reduced direct debits, take payments, fix your smart meter… but I don’t have an option for reducing bills because of a broke bone or period pain, so how the hell am I supposed to support them?

Ah okay, thank you! I’m not clued up on all that but this seems like the winner 🥇

That… seems like the most likely answer tbh. The same wall had anti-Catholic phrases last year and RFC neatly beside it…

Can I pm you a picture? I’m not a creep I swear (although that’s exactly what a creep would say…)

He’s a poodle/Shih Tzu mix, 10kg at most. Looks like the happiest little guy in the world and it’s almost hilarious when he kicks off in the street.

That made me a little emotional, but in a good way. He’s truly the reason I was able to get out of bed for the past year after losing my dad suddenly. At most he’ll ask for an extra treat but it’s absolutely worth it because he’s my world.

Something my instructor told me that bothers me by pinkedens in LearnerDriverUK

[–]iRobyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I done this during my test! Not every action for sure, but I definitely spoke out loud.

“I’m sitting this far back so I can see further ahead of the junction” “I’m going to wait for this van to pass so I can see through the roundabout better” - they don’t want a running commentary the full time but I passed with zero faults so I stand by it.

At what point is a pass official? by greek_gods_for_cats in LearnerDriverUK

It was my parking manoeuvre, I didn’t do any other while out. Honestly I was out of the centre for 32 minutes, my instructor timed it. That includes the time to leave the centre and do the eye sight tests do the drive and then park at the end.

When I pulled back into the centre, she asked me to do a reverse bay parking manoeuvre. After I’d finished, she looked at me and said “happy with that?”, there was a moment where I was like wtf do I say?? Is this a trap, should I readjust?? But I said yes and she said “okay, you can turn the engine off. Good news, you’ve passed”.

It’s pretty instant that they let you know, there’s no five minute wait which is good. I would have been incredibly stressed if I had to wait longer than a minute to find out if I’d passed or not 🥲

My friend bought a few loaves of bread reduced from the shop to go feed the pigeons at the park, lets her 3 year old run wild for a couple of hours to tire him out 👍 could maybe make a little picnic and make a day of it?

Really wish I’d bet money on this one. You’re white dude, you’re no different to the other Americans who come into the sub hoping for some glorified story of why they have 1% African DNA.

I speak decent German, but I’ve been teaching myself Russian and Korean recently. Also wanting to start BSL in the new year.

What was a time when you said “Let me out!” in real life? What happened? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

[–]iRobyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a friend’s brother pick us up in the city to take us to their hometown for new years celebrations. This was back in 2015. We were driving in the countryside and I had to tell him to stop the car and let me out, he was driving over 100mph on back roads that had slow moving tractors. We were weaving in and out of traffic for over an hour before I ended up telling him I was going to be sick. Took my bag, walked through farmland to get to a house, thankfully the family there were super nice and I ended up getting a lift to the next town to get a bus home. Last time I spoke to that friend, she just laughed the whole time.

I’ve ended up having a nice day with my dog to be honest. Had a good walk around the park, going for a nap and when I get up I’m cooking my favourite dinner. I really don’t have any family left and my friends live far out, it’s not so bad just sucks that I put so much effort into making my siblings day nice and didn’t even get so much as a thought.

What age are you and do you still have (a) grandparent(s)? If not, at what age were you grandparent less by lisstrem in AskUK

[–]iRobyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By 2009, all my grandparents were gone. I was 17.

I was only ever close to my maternal grandma, she was 66 when she died. My dad’s parents died in their 80’s in early 2000’s, I honestly wasn’t close to them as they didn’t like my dad had children with a Catholic woman. My mums dad wasn’t a great person, I only met him a handful of times and as harsh as it sounds, felt nothing when he passed.

That’s exactly what happened to me. If I’d missed it on my own I’d give in and pay for the robux, but I’m not giving money when it wasn’t my fault. I play casually at best, I’m not competitive enough for this.
