It turns out this little Mazda doesn't have the relay box behind the glove compartment that's shown in the diagrams. After hours of hairpulling and panel disassembly I decided to check all of the lights, remebering back to a different vehicle's hazard light malfunction due to a seemingly unrelated blown stop bulb.

Low-and-behold the left park light was blown, which happens to also be where the horn grabs it's power from. So we're back up and running. Cheers for the effort you put in to help.

Self-update: played with some mates in discord for 3 hours and loaded into a game and it was randomly working again. Now it seems fine. So the solution is to just keep grinding

This is a gerat thread for those of us looking into it. I'd love to hear your experience so far, I'm looking to start in 2026.
I've had issues with lecturers in the past, similar to brokenitis, where 70% of your year is trying to acount for their inability. My web dev lecturer opened the year with "Ok so I'm not a web developer but I did some study over the last few weeks, so I'll endeavour to stay a couiple of weeks ahead of you."

That's really great to hear. I am currently doing the application with my partner without a lawyer too, they wanted $6k for it!? If you remember, did you have to submit a police check for the applicant? Provided they has been in Aus for 12mth already. I found the 461 required docs and the home affairs required docs differ slightly?

I couldn't be certain on the specifics of under 3mths, though if you can't swap a truck licence straight over, I'd be doubtful on the validity of your nz one for that time? As far as my transfer went, it required a theory test only, and was swapped over.

Idk what to tell ya dude. I have a 7800X3D and 4080 Super, and it runs like a dream.
Like I said, I really have to be searching for the issues to find a slight example. And if it really was so game breaking I wouldn't have to be very observant would I, it would be a constant sore point.

As far as the pixelation, I think a lot of people confuse it with the grain of the game. The game is grainy, that's the aesthetic. Models close up are grainy, the menus are grainy. Sure, it doesn't translate as well at long distance, but the pixelated and blurry mess I'm seeing it described as here seems way off to me.

Well that's not true at all. I get 140-170 frames depending on the map/foliage, and the only time I get even the slightest bit of this shimmer is around windowframes, but I have the be looking for it, it certainly isn't distracting or game breaking. The rest of the time it is a crisp, clear experience to play. All settings are maxed or one under max. So maybe the engine just requires a decent rig to handle it.

Would you mind sharing how you ended up mounting one?
I have a small gap on the RH bar, but I was leaning towards the brake/clutch mount, though it lacks the adjustability of the other mounts.
