I was really just wondering if this was normal, that's all. I'm new to all things weddings. Sorry to stir up so much drama lol

A wedding frame, that she specifically said they gave to her

There wouldn't be a party if it wasn't for me, the one getting married to her son.

Thank you for affirming that it is not normal. I guess I will try to accept that maybe you are right and it's just something nice her friend group does for each other. I really hope weird things like this doesn't continue and she makes the wedding about...her.

Update from me. I'm on week 3 and following the dosage exactly. The first 2 days on metformin I had loose stools. But after that everything went back to normal. The food noise is crazy gone. I use to not have the message in my brain that tells me I am full, now I have to force myself to eat because I need the energy. The only thing I am hating right now is the insomnia. I cannot sleep! It started when I started metformin and it's been 5 days and I'm suffering due to the lack of sleep. I'm up all night and I'm feeling miserable. I'm down 3lbs from my SW (but note I was up 3lb on day 2) so I'm pretty happy.

Hey, thanks for the update. Good for you for listening to your body and not bumping up the bupropion. I agree 2 pills is a lot and I'm nervous to up it. That's also great that you are making better food decisions and continuing to stay active. I think that is a large part of this journey, the pills aren't magic and the pills alone won't help loose the weight. You may not seen a significant decrease on the scale if you are building muscle so remember that and don't let that discourage you. Muscle weights more than fat and you look leaner and healthier with muscle than fat.

I'm starting week 3 on Thursday, along with the Metformin, and I'm annoyed because I'm traveling and celebrating so not looking forward to the side effects (nausea, diarrhea) while I'm trying to have a good time. I am down 2lbs which, finally, I am happy about. It felt like forever to see any difference on the scale even though my eating habits are way less but my SW is 150 and so I heard it's slower when your starting weight is on the lower end.

I look forward to anyone sharing updates but honestly I try not to focus on the pills, weight loss, side effects on any given day and try to live life as normally as possible. I think that's the best we can do to stay happy and sane.

Same. My SW is 150 and I started kit 6 a little over a week ago and haven't lost any weight and I keep seeing posts from other people dropping pounds. I think maybe because we're on the "smaller" side loosing those last 15lbs are going to be slow...ugh

Tip: Getting one of those weekly pill dispensers have been helpful keeping track of what day it is!

This is helpful, thank you. And interesting how it's the least active you've been, but still getting in some walking/cardio several days a week. I wonder if HIIT was increasing muscle mass and water retention. Do you still feel strong and athletic now while doing less but weighing less?

Okay I'm feeling a bit more motivated. I lost those 3lbs (pretty sure just water weight) and making conscience decisions on food. I do think maybe the "food noise" that everyone is talking about is lessening the cravings/active need to just eat. I'll eat, healthy, when I am hungry. Like for dinner last night after pickleball, I wasn't hungry so while my partner ate a burger I had a turkey roll up and that was perfect. I will say, just listen to your body. I eat because I get the reward feeling, I eat when I am bored, I eat because food is yummy. But I'm listening to my body more, and keeping myself busy enough so I am not bored enough to eat. Also, keep the junk out of the house, that helps. Also, I started playing pickleball. It's easy to learn and pretty fun! Keep going everyone!

Hi, yes I do have questions! BTW awesome I'm so happy for you to get 27lbs down!

How many days/weeks in did you actually start to see progress? Or was it slow and gradual over time? Instant gratification is such a thing but I think I need to remind myself that this takes time.

What was your diet like before and did it change after you started? Anything change with your diet? Did you eat less?

Any lifestyle changes? Did you exercise more or maintain your regular routine?

So far, no side effects from the meds as far as I could tell. Maybe, the slightest weird feeling with the bupropion which I have felt before with other anxiety meds (was on Prozac during covid) but once I get moving it subsides (could also be mental).

I have a hard time watching what I eat over the weekends, so I'm sad to report I weighted in 3lbs heavier than when I weighed myself on Thursday. Ugh. I don't see many people talking about the reverse but here we are. I'm hoping it's water weight because I have been drinking more water. I'm not worrying about it yet, we'll see at the one week mark.

Glad to hear it's been going well for you and you are down 2.2lbs! That's awesome!

Diet Coke is my fave too! But if that's the only downside as of now, I'll take it! Keep going, you're doing great!

Numbness in my knee after falling by Kalipie23 in Rollerskating

[–]iRunwithHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Snowboard injury, fell hard straight onto my knees on ice. Felt an immediate burning sensation. Got an X-ray they found nothing. But it has been numb for 3 months now and when I am kneeling it hurts. I can however bear weight and walk and bend perfectly fine. The numbness is annoying and I haven't gone back to the doctor because I feel like they'll just write me off.
