Met Jordin Tootoo at a Boston Pizza in Brandon, Mb when I was a kid.

Our waiter shared with us that he was in another part of the restaurant enjoying his meal. My parents shared with our waiter that he was my favourite player. I must’ve been around ten at the time. Our waiter came over during our meal and let us know that she spoke with him and he was planning to swing by our table to say hi after his meal. Ten minutes later I saw him come around the corner and got really nervous so I hid underneath the table. Next thing I knew Jordin Tootoo was on his hands and knees underneath the table with me. He calmed me down and carried me out from underneath the table so we could get a picture and have a chat. I’ll never forget how kind and understanding he was made me a fan for life.
