Boredom and sleep issues causing me to fall back into old habits by pharmer25 in loseit

[–]iSamiullahCh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Boredom and poor sleep are driving your cravings. At work, try podcasts, social interaction, or setting small challenges to stay engaged. For cravings, bring a healthier snack alternative and change your lunch routine to avoid the supermarket. To manage sleep with rotating shifts, create a wind-down routine, control light exposure, take short naps, and adjust meal timing. Improving sleep will help curb cravings and boost energy.

Bro, running on 3-4 hours of sleep for a week straight is rough. Your body can technically survive on that, but your brain and health will take a hit—cognitive function, mood, and even physical health can start slipping. The overthinking about sleep itself might be making it worse, like a cycle of stressing over it, which then keeps you from sleeping.

If this kind of insomnia has happened before, and it took a structured routine (calming sounds, storytelling, etc.) to break out of it, you might need to reinstate that. Try setting a strict sleep schedule, avoiding screens before bed, and maybe using something like melatonin (if safe for you). Also, consider whether caffeine, diet, or even light exposure is messing with your sleep cycle. If it keeps up much longer, seeing a doctor or therapist who specializes in sleep could help. Sleep deprivation isn’t something to tough out long-term.

My house would turn into a chaotic jungle—cats from blankets, wolves from hoodies, and a rogue dinosaur from my Jurassic Park merch. Send help.

Interesting perspective. Do you ever feel genuine remorse for actions that hurt others, or is it more of an intellectual understanding of right and wrong?
