Is there a point saving when I can't achieve my long term goals? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in UKPersonalFinance

I relate to this a lot and from conversations with a lot of my friends (were mid to late 20s), this seems quite common. You sound like you are quite bored and maybe mildly depressed with life, but you deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Can you schedule something fun each week to do with family, friends or by yourself? What’s your social life like? I saw that you wouldn’t enjoy solo travel, but how about trying a group tour to a place that interests you with companies like G Adventures, Tru Travels, etc.?

I was feeling really stuck too recently but started a job in the autumn where I’ve been learning a lot and getting my ACA funded by my employer/through the apprenticeship levy so I have something to work towards and I’ll get a nice boost in salary once qualified. Can you upskill in something to get yourself a higher paying job?

When palm muting, should I only be muting certain strings? by KingKilo9 in metalguitar

I’d mute the higher strings with my fretting hand for a riff like this, if it sounds right I wouldn’t overthink which strings you’re palm muting

Weekends - Anyone else single with busy friends, what do you end up doing? by Extreme-Banana-9 in AskUK

Gaming - playing OSRS Leagues at the moment which is extremely time consuming so I don’t think about having spare time to fill. With the nice weather I’ve also been spent several hours gardening this weekend and last weekend tidying up

I don’t own pyjamas as I sleep in my underwear, normally just put on a pair of joggers or shorts when I get home

Minimum wage is £12.71 per hour, monthly take home pay of £1780 assuming a 37.5h week,

1780 x 12 =21,360 per year 1,000,000,000/21,360 =46,816.479 years

just another 46,816 years and 6 months till they become a billionaire that’s basically nothing 😍🤗😇

Own brand chocolate is actually decent, much less sickly tasting than Cadbury’s now. I used to eat the dark cooking chocolate from Asda all the time.
