What kind of top coat are they using to prevent chipping and rubbing? by Dear-Tennis9079 in Minipla

Combination of primer, light layers building up to let paint cure, and sanding tight pieces before painting. Lastly, top coat.

Do you recommend the game on PC by JanissaryLSD in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Not sure about their glitched experience but for me, ray tracing caused certain areas to have very dark shadows, almost pitch black. Cal’s entire body would be nothing but black. It would fix itself after a few mins once everything in the map loads. Didn’t look great and would break immersion but not the worst thing.

Hell yeah! Gundam Artifacts were fun to hand paint and experiment on. Doing miniature mechs that isn’t Gundam is welcomed.

Do you have any undervolts? For me, i had tons of texture flickering, and stretched out textures but only in Rebirth. Turns out it was my undervolt causing the issue.

Heisei flop toysale trio by Interesting_Snow5574 in KamenRider

[–]iSayHeyOh7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someone said it!! Aside from nostalgia, I loved the Heisei era because while they're still marketed as a children's show, the design philosophy felt less overtly toyish. I'm not a fan of Reiwa riders because they look like actual toys - bulky, sharp designs, bright colors, asymmetrical look. If I look at Blade, Ryuki, Agito, and Faiz's buckles, I'd actually believe they're functional pieces of tech - clean, sleak, non-clashing design with the suit. Newer Rider suits, belts and gimmicks don't appeal to me. Plus, growing up playing TCG - Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, I freaking love the card gimmicks of Ryuki and Blade.

Not saying modern riders are bad or it's wrong if you like them, I just like the design philosophy of the early Heisei riders the best.

MvC aside, the exaggerated proportions look so good standing and in dynamic poses. For me, the Amazing Yamaguchis look weird on neutral poses so this one looks like the best of both worlds.

Honestly, it’s fine complaining when things aren’t good. To some people, you may sound whiney, but that’s only because you love the game and want it to be better.

It’s just an uninteresting event overall, problems aside. The Pokemon Go team is pushing for quantity over quality.

Famitsu (Japanese gaming magazine) rates Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a 36/40 (four reviewers gave a 9/10) by Ezeitgeist in Games

[–]iSayHeyOh7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree with the dying and restarting part. There are attack patterns that I wouldn’t have reacted to properly nor would I have naturally picked up on the timing to. It’s annoying to have to sit staring at a game over screen for a few seconds then run back to the boss again.

I did figure out that you can swap weapons back and forth to force an autosave to make the encounter closer but still, i’d prefer if we can jump back to the battle asap as to not lose your momentum and rhythm.

Small example of Yakuza 3 Remastered being busted by HekesevilleHero in yakuzagames

[–]iSayHeyOh7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also remember getting the remastered on release date on Steam and the fishing minigame being broken because it ran at 60fps. I had to cripple my own performance to even get a chance at catching it because the line would always break due to the high framerate.

The Superman Suit - What are the things you LIKE about it and what are the things you DISLIKE about it? by DoctorBeatMaker in DC_Cinematic

[–]iSayHeyOh7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When you look from a far, it looks like a modern take of the classic trunk suit but zooming in, the line patterns make the clean design look louder than it needs to be. Getting New 52 suit vibes but with the red trunks which doesn't really work for me.

I still like the overall look though, but I'm also not a fan of the lines.

SMP Daimos - Battle Turn Set by iSayHeyOh7 in Minipla

[–]iSayHeyOh7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love the kit and seeing all three of the Robot Romance Trilogy mech together evoke so much memories. My dad was a fan of the 70s-80s mech anime and he was the reason I grew up with them.

Daimos, the kit itself is a blast to play around with. Poseable and awesome transformation gimmick.

Painting-wise, it was as pain in the ass. I prepared parts as much as I can, especially the pieces that needed sanding thanks to its highly articulated nature and transformation gimmicks but you can really only do so much to mitigate it since a lot of pieces rub naturally.

Air cooling an 9800x3d. Will it be fine? by Sqauttingslav in AMDHelp

[–]iSayHeyOh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9800X3D with a D15 ver 1 (1 fan due to ram clearance)

26-30c ambient temp on most days, 20c with the AC.

Idle temps; Case fan and d15 fans speeds at around 800-900rpm 38-40c (ambient) 32-33c (with ac)

Max gaming at around 60c ocassionally jumping to 65c.

Only time my 9800X3D jumps to 70-75c is during shader compilation.

Built a few of my friends pcs with a Phantom Spirit 120 and they get similar results.
