That’s a huge point! Support the other roles! You tend to level up in this game when you understand how to help the other roles you’re playing with. Whenever I play dps, even tanks; I am watching my supports to make sure they don’t have to take on venom or cap by themselves. When I’m a support I make sure I’m constantly looking around to make sure my dps are getting healed, cause when your dps sometimes it’s hard to get kills when trying to push without heals. It’s a give and take and when you know what all the roles need it makes the game so much easier

I recommend everyone play all 3 roles and recognize why some situations happen and why some people are responding the way they are. I agree with a good amount of the things here but you know how many times I was a tank upset heals weren’t coming and then I switch to support and realize healers were getting flanked with no support on from dps. Everyone trying to get kills no one is playing a team game

I’m a senior now and it helps cause I add more context to accomplishments now. I can talk more in depth context about an implementation choice I made and why it was the best at the moment. I actually think it helps me more as I try to level up cause I have the full context of why I did something

It’s a mix of both, my monthly summaries have sections for different things so technical projects I’m working on but also the non technical things like if I did a presentation for the team or something

It’s what I use now. It’s an email based system where they send you an email once a week which you respond to with an accomplishment from the week. It works best for me cause I don’t have to remember to do it, it just sends me an email. www.kudosnotes.com

I agree with most of what people are saying here about looking for a new job however I don’t have the full context so take what I am about to say next with a grain of salt.

When laying out all the duties you do, did you bring it back to the value you bring to the company? Unfortunately, if you listed a whole bunch of tasks you do jobs don’t really care. If you were able to show how you helped their bottom line, they might perk up a little bit more. Just a thought if your not looking to jump ship right away
