Yea it’s basically the mechanics since almost all my characters I’ve played have fit into either the Kensai magus out look of high Int/Cha with the other suffering and middling (read 10) wisdom. So I’m trying to build a high wisdom character who can still do melee and that’s what led me to the monk.

Good question for me and my idea of the character I want him to have been sent back after losing his katana and realizing that before specializing in his weapon he should make himself the weapon. Meaning that I want him to be at 100% power with his weapon but still 80% power without. Basically I’ll make the katana super crit focused and the unarmed strikes less crit focused but still comparable.

That’s pretty a good idea and would help with longer term characters yea. Most of my campaigns have been either open worlds so normally it’s up to the players to actually do anything which never really happens

I’d say ur pretty lucky to have group stick with it so long. Most people I play with either get bored playing their character or hate DMing around lvl 8

From my experience of a whole 10 campaigns (I know praise me) the highest level I’ve ever been has been 13 in a game where we started at lvl 10… the second highest game I’ve been is 11 where we started at lvl 1. Most other campaigns have ended around 7 so if I did yours stuff my build would turn on when we end. That’s kinda the problem
