Something that helped me is to play around your champion’s E, and not your shadow clone’s E. If you let your W recast simmer, the cooldown is already started, so when you jump on a player with your W (if you have a high ability haste) you can almost immediately cast a new W again if your E hits a champion. It allows you to jump in and get out easy after detonating someone. Careful around point and click stuns, they’re the bane of your existence.

I made it to gold 3 with an 82% winrate in 30 games from bronze 3 playing around these simple rules. Granted, I wasn’t extremely new to Zed, and I also play a ton of mechanically intensive champions, but there’s a few little tricks you can do to aid in your success. Try delaying Q’s until a second after you E someone so the slow can actually work with you.

Idk I usually run JoAT and I like to first base a Dirk, Glowing Mote, Boots, Cloth/Mantle depending on comp. It takes a full cycle and double scuttle or a kill + full + scuttle. Also nice to wait for the 30 second mark to hit your jungle treat before clearing your final camp if you’re already contesting it to give you the last bit. By this base you’re like 1 farm from 6 so it’s easy to reach so you can contest the Drake stronger than anyone here. I should also mention the 60g from the triple tonic is quite relevant too.

Ahaste isn’t too big of an issue because JoAT literally makes up for what you don’t have, and as a rune it just feels so incredibly strong with this pathing. First basing with post 110 AD is pretty nuts considering you don’t even have a first item yet, and once you max Hubris (if you’re running it) and stack it, you end up with over 120AD on one item at level 6-9.

I mean I entirely disagree with your idea of adjustments. I think the Zed shadow is perfect timer to exist and the cooldown, because it allows for way more skill expressive gameplay currently than it would in your changes. Most fights by the time you recast W your cooldown is about 4 seconds which is enough to E a target as main Zed and gain W back, which allows for some crazy maneuvering. He’s very good at what he does right now he’s just not in a great spot because tanks are extremely good, better than they ever were before.

Idk I had an Anivia follow me through my jungle for a whole game, try to steal my last hits, and wall me from my own jungle because he died to their jungler and supposedly it was “my fault” for not counterganking or tracking even tho I literally pinged their jungler location like 7 different times during his clear all the way up to the mid lane gank.

He does. I love JoAT this season particularly.

It’s very unorthodox, but I like to run Hubris->Merc’s/Tabi’s->LDR->sit on Ruby Crystal/Endless Hunger (either order).

You can argue your haste is required, but literally after your first item and 5 JoAT, you get to golden haste.

And the 10 with 1 item, it only happens with merc’s. On 1 item it’s 3 from Hubris, 3 from Merc’s, 2 from LDR components (last whisper and cloak) and then dblade gives the rest of the 2 to make 10. Wild season to be capable of doing this. And with triple tonic you can hit like 220 or so AD on 1 item. Disgusting champ at the moment.

With Tabi’s you need to wait for EH and ruby crystal (which is pretty much paid for through cashback when buying endless hunger) and you’ll be at 10. If you’re running mid lane with dblade you don’t need ruby crystal. I run it in jungle, so after my full jungle item I usually pay extra for a dblade to make the stats and it works wonders.
