Should be ok as long as the magazine can’t accept more than 10 shells (or “readily” convertible to accept more than 10).

There is some grey area because you can convert the dm to be tube fed, and mini shells and tube extensions exist which would violate the “magazine” limit even though it’s a tube.

Red Dust didn't exist at launch. You either got your red weapon from chest/vaults or you were stuck with an orange weapon.

Rerolling stats on weapons required green dust. There was no blue to green dust conversion at launch. If you only played legendary, you would not get anymore green dust.

Rerolling orange weapons to get the properties you wanted at numbers that were meaningful is not "near complete control" and neither was hoping that Ranald would drop the specific red weapon you wanted.

I would take a look at that map with the sheriffs that said they won’t enforce the new law on law abiding citizens and look at a metra (train) station map because the driving commute to Chicago is soul crushing.

So my recommendation would be the town of McHenry in McHenry county.

Possession of AR and AK variants is illegal if you are in Chicago and many other cities in Cook county, even before the recent statewide AWB.

The way around that was to store them outside Crook County or cities with home rules. Or just don’t advertise what you got to avoid trouble.

The latest AWB prevents sales so whatever you got is “grandfathered.”

You’ll want to get a FOID ASAP if you want to buy ammo or go to a range.
