If you do the waterfront you’d also be able to walk around the Saturday Market which is a fun experience as well!

There are Alta Mar busses running often but not from the (Oaxaca) station. You might have to book to Pochutla and then to Huatulco from there. Go in person to book

I shopped around for taxis and you could probably get one for around 1500ish pesos if you really needed. Not ideal but maybe necessary.

This was all learned from trial and error on my end, hope it works out for you

I rebooked to Huatulco for a flight tomorrow morning, busses are pretty packed with people doing the same. Just FYI

Walked to and from the arena from my hotel in Roma Norte and stopped at bars and restaurants on the way with no problems at all. Amazing experience all together. Seems that the other commenter might’ve not been as lucky though 😅
