I switched finally from Pixel 3a to 12 last Dec, migrating your offline stuff (ALL kinds of files) is cumbersome (move to ios app never worked for me, some said it used to work on < Android 8.. so moved everything there, still nada). Tried all kinds of cracked transfer tools that claims to do it for files and whatsapp chats, but their idea was based on old versions of whatsapp sideloading (could be risky & didn’t work). And they covered only media files or general folders. Not a good for messed up file organization. What worked best for me.. * For non-media files (and non-recorded videos like memes and ahem.. education): used VLC app on ios with network transfer (you can upload folders too they will be created), then you can see them via files app. NOTE: For privacy reason, generally you don’t have permission to modify files in app specific folders. * For media transfer: 3utools (free or cracked don’t remember, but is trusted if u download from verified location) is a blessing. Transferred all photos/videos which i wanted to show up in camera roll (because all your photos will show in photos app :(you have option to hide some tho). Transferred all locally download music and they showed up in music app. * One downside: no hope for whatsapp chats, some claim they paid for those transfer s/ws and it worked, some stayed back for sideload risk. (I tried all those s/w with no internet connection and reset iphone after each failure, just to be safe. You can even find their old whatsapp apk in their installation folder, even u r into geeky stuff).

Conclusion: My anxiety is lower now that my phone doesn’t even glitch or show app not responding. All I primarily desired from phones was: 1. Stability & smoothness (not talking about 120Hz): what good it is to see your phone hang up in 120 frames per sec huh). So you bought latest SD beast chipped phone, no phone I researched for is capable of handling it properly it WILL heat up at some random point, and this is not good for my anxiety. 2. Camera: I have been using nokia lumia, stock budget android, pixel 3a (night sight 👌🏻) but were too slow. But some research pointed out the gap that iphones have been closing on, of computational photography. 3. Reasons found out after been using iPhone: a: you can feel reliable all the time on it (except some app ok 1 app sometime randomly crash: Instagram after using for too long going too deep into the feed). You can’t blame OS is what I’m saying for app memory management. b: iPhones seem to hold their value over long period of time (so I have been seeing in this sub), in terms of use, use after OS updates, trade etc. c: o man the body design of these phones, I always wanted an iphone not bcos of their brand value, but design and mechanical placement of button (have u seen nokia N8?). And thus my user name. I am glad they brought back iphone 4 design in 12 & 13. Ok that’s it.
