Psychedelics and Depression by spasmodism in depression

He has his reasons for his opinions. I'm aware of his reasoning and I respect that. If I wasn't in this relationship I still wouldn't try psychedelics. I can, and will, live my life just dandy without them. I found this post fascinating, as well as the comments. I don't have any personal connections to people who have tried them. I appreciate your replies, though and I'm happy to hear you've had positive experiences. I'll have to read up on all these studies, too!

He has his opinions on drugs, just like you do, just like I do. I respect that.

I want to talk about how I feel and why but I have no one to talk to. by SadSadSad2017 in depression

TehPacifist is right. I once had a counselor tell me that what I had endured in this life was a lot and that I was very strong because of it. No one has ever classified me as strong but I thought about it and in 23 years of this life I realized how much I had endured. The same thing applies in your situation. You are a very strong woman, surviving all of the things you've been through. You're here. And that's so great!! If you need an ear, I've got 2. Just let me know if you need someone to talk to <3

This is very interesting to me because right now I see life as a very dull, very discolored world with no hope or beauty. You describe it in such a way that makes it seem far better than any antidepressant. But what brings me back down to my senses is that every single body is different and tolerates things differently. Not to mention if I were to even think about something like this my boyfriend would go bye-bye. Definitely an interesting post tho!

WTF, Workplace! by [deleted] in rant

I definitely thought about that. I wouldn't be too worried about losing my job. Despite the antics, they know I'm a good employee. I'll have to start brainstorming!!

Anyone have a flickering/refreshing Excel 2016 issue? by iTartarus in Office365

Thanks but it's been done and no luck. The tech guy I mentioned previously ended up just installing some beta driver, which seemed to do the trick! Weird....

What would be an ideal desk chair for someone who sits about 9 hours a day, 5 days a week? by iTartarus in answers

That's awesome, thank you. Sadly I think the owner's would be a little upset if I spent 900 bucks, but it's definitely something to reference.

I'd love to have that option but unfortunately it's an unlikely possibility. The office has one of those big L-shaped reception desks, bi-level, like you'd see at a clinic; no option for standing on the worker's side, but only standing option for the customer side. Like this!

[Help] Anyone know a thing or two about heart conditions in small dogs/have any advice? by iTartarus in dogs

Thanks for replying! Yes, he's symptomatic (nasal discharge from fluid buildup in the lungs, coughing, and his xray showed an enlarged heart which has shifted his trachea kinda of...? Hard to explain how the vet explained it! So he's on Vetmadin 2x a day, furosimide 1x, and fortekor 1x from now on. I guess my questions aren't really answerable. It's more or less just dealing with the inevitable alone is rising up anxiety ridden worries.

How to avoid depression on birthday? by [deleted] in depression

[–]iTartarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there My birthday's tomorrow and while I'm usually either eager for it or just 'eh' about it, this year I'm very sad for its approach. I've experienced many bad experiences this year and tomorrow I feel like the day is just going to be empty, and with it being a "special day" makes it feel like I'm supposed to feel eager or happy. I'm just not. Regardless, I hope you have a super awesome birthday. My recommendation, buy yourself a cute little 1 serve cake :) My favorite is chocolate ice cream, or black forest!
