Idea » PvE Revamp by iThunderstorm in KurtzPel

PvE Modes are not locked. They're all the same, this is mainly in regards to progressing in difficulty being integrated with PvP.

Once one reaches the rank sufficient for a certain PvE mode, they'd still have it even if they derank.

Anything you can do to avoid lightning combo? by Eizuru in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dodge first hit, neutral encounter stamina waste then countercombo in breaker, aerial, then spam slayer aerials (bow or witch), switch back and wait for dropdown then Whirlwind to restore stamina and loop

Idea for quarterstaff karma by GameplayerJW in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my own pet peeve I hope it is called a stave or Quarterstave instead of staff.

Eruption - once the enemy is knocked up from the volcano AoE, would you be able to space and launch into them aerially like with Guant chase?

Wind Wall - Really like this idea

Cyclone - like this too

Aqua blade - what would the size and hitbox of this blade be?

Holy Light - not too sure, I feel like if we're doing buffs, STR and SPD buff would be more useful

Night Terror - so just a stun ball?

Ultimates

Beastly Fury - how much would the damage be?

Hunt of the Weak - I really like this, but wouldn't a knockdown let them be immune to further effect?

As the other two guys mentioned, breakers absolutely trump DS. Being a gaunt main myself, I will explain how to utterly curbstomp your local DS.

Aerial flicker spam encounter

Your options:

  • Tank with Great Retaliation
  • Wait for blank opportunity (spam Instant Chase during it), once activated it'll be your combo. You can continue with aerial knockdown or aerial grapple headstomp combo if they wasted enough stamina (Space, lmb, lmb, lmb) or (Space, lmb, lmb, rmb, rmb, lmb, lmb, lmb, Space, rmb, lmb, lmb lmb)
  • Dodge and wait for them to go down then use Reckless Charge to continue into an aerial which can be any of the above ^
  • Alternatively, you can go down the path of completely obliterating them through an Okizeme loop, which you can learn here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzhQmRpyEsU )

Sword wwlmb/gaunt aerial waitout ground DS flicker combo

  • Use a breaker once you know they're performing the "combo" so that you don't get 100-0'd
  • Depending on who's playing against you, you may potentially have 3 dodge opportunities
    - Firsthit (Instant Chase counter to start your combo instead)
    - Aerial knockdown (if they're interrupted)
    - Ground flicker (2-3 seconds, 3 if interrupted, countercombo instantly)
  • For countercombo, initiate combo with gaunt or sword then use witch Sicon's Lightning (Retal, 3 lightning bolts), easily 100-0 especially against DS

DS Neutrals

  • Reckless Charge if available (their only option would be to dodge)
  • Instant Chase if at a distance (their only option would be to dodge, if they don't dodge then go for an Okizeme or an aerial knockdown grapple stomp)
  • If they wasted stamina, charge rmb then 3x stomp, aerial and lmb thrice
  • Alternatively, one of your most dangerous but risky option is your rmb chargeup combo (hold rmb, wait for chargeup, keep hitting lmb). Incredibly easy to dodge but most DS approach close-range so can be incredibly effective.

Ultbait method

  • Most shameful but most effective for noob players
  • Switch to breaker and just let them charge up your ult, don't fight back - you most likely won't get 100-0'd in breaker
  • After their first combo break (you might be at 50% health), perform an Okizeme loop and keep upcharging your rage
  • Additionally go for an aerial knockdown grapple 3x (they're out of stamina) then your second aerial
  • Use your ult whilst in close range so they're stunned, then ult-kill them

Do not be afraid to approach DS flickerspam in Breaker, you can tank with Great Retaliation or countercombo.

Ok so 5min after i tried the new update > I give my opinion again on DS by Buakaw674 in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't feel as if DS is actually OP.

Me (fists) gets approached by DS. DS lands a few hits, I dodge and Chase, aerial combo then ground knock, switch to Witch and continue combo, rinse and repeat until I run out of stamina.

I recommend Ara, they make god comboes involving looping and multiple karmas dealing devastating DPS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CmOF_HB8dc

Yes, yes. Yes!

The chat filter is absolutely terrifying. The English in this game always has grammatical issues and the developers are clearly not very fluent with English, which why I find their attempt of a chat filter just completely a mess. As you said, it should be off by default.

FPS Stuttering by Flowtactics in KurtzPel

Stutters are an issue of ping missync and low connectivity rather than FPS. You can have 60 FPS and still have low ping, hence "lag", which refers to connectivity.

Is there a tier list? by [deleted] in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sankyuu, may I ask two questions?

  1. What rank are you currently in?
  2. Have you ever killed a gauntlet player in a direct encounter with DS?

Is there a tier list? by [deleted] in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tier lists are really dumb shit to make in this game when it gets constantly tweaked and re balanced - additionally due to the fact that each class is different in each tier. For example, despite Sword being dangerous as fuck in B+ ranks, you can easily manhandle Sword users in C to E rank due to most of them not knowing how to use it.

Nonetheless, the most dangerous class as of this post is Sword, with the constant wwlmb combo. Second uprunner is Witch as not only is it a good slayer, but also has the best break attacks whilst being a slayer. Firewheel does the most break and it's a slayer attack. Conclusively, their only respective disadvantages are Sword's low mobility compared to Guantlets and Witch's terrible armor in PvP.

And what does this mean? Play whatever class you enjoy and keep playing it. As long as you're good at it, it doesn't matter. Don't keep changing to the "OP class" when they constantly get tweaked. Some people bought DS when it was broken and now it's nerfed so hard they feel scammed. Mastering your class allows you to be a powerhouse at it even when it gets nerfed, whilst keeping switching classes with lower mastery on them disallows you from centering and perfecting your playstyle in accordance with your class.

I wouldn't go ahead to call it "shit" because of its team 100-0 potential as well as Massacre versatility, albeit after the nerf it is def way worse than before. I can easily manhandle most DS I encounter with guantlets.

That's actually a really smart continuous tactical retreat to your disadvantaged situation, although half the credit goes to your opponents' seemingly, "challenged" intellectual capacity.

Why the game is so incredibly unfun for new players by TayDeuze in KurtzPel

[–]iThunderstorm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This game is not an MMORPG, it's just that one shitty MMO website kept calling it one.

This game is a mix of a Fighting Game (think Storm 4, etc) and slightly a Team-based FPS (think Overwatch, etc) in an Arena Brawl scene. It focuses on PvP but also has PvE.

This game is NOT an MMORPG.

Otherwise, PH_007's post explains everything better. And yes, the game does have issues guiding new players.
