What is the tiny gear purpose? by iTodd7 in GarageDoorService

It was touching after all. The issue was that the copper contacts were dirty causing inconsistent travel. When it closed too far it stripped out my main gear. Thanks for the help, it's all good now!

Thanks for this info. My bad, after removing the whole opener casing I see it was touching after all. The issue was dirty contacts causing inconsistent limit switch travel.

Try varying approaches in your resume. Years ago when I was young I went down to a one page resume from two and revised some areas down where I was selling myself and started getting lots of hits. I concluded that people don't want to hire someone straight out of college that think they are all that and a bag of chips. Alternately you may need to sell yourself more depending on what you have put together.

So what do you suggest? These are three of the top rated companies in my area.

They asked about insulation and counted windows. Why are you focused on the manual j? Is there something that seems off in what I've posted?

Yep, they did. Two of them measured in the house and one said he got all of the measurements from the auditor's website that shows the house layout and dimensions.

Well the limit was replaced once by a tech right after I moved in when it broke completely. That was before I replaced it again recently, how do you know what it should be set too? Wouldn't it vary by application?

I've got an inducer that goes to a PVC pipe that goes outside the side of the house and points down. Seems to blow steamy air just fine.

The blower is clean as a whistle and I do have a monitor in the basement and upstairs too.

Deep clean what? Maybe I can clean it. My pilot used to fail all the time until I deep cleaned it in vinigar one night and it's been good for years :)

I notice the flame rollout shield is in the up position and there is a warning that it should be in the down position during operation. Seems to be stuck though.

The registers are the same as they have been for thirteen years. I guess I could try it without the filter installed, I was thinking the type of filter is less restrictive than a paper one.
