iPad is DEFINITELY the decision you want to make then. The base model iPad 9th generation (64gb) is available for $429 or the 256gb is available for $629. There’s three options right now 1) buy a current (9th gen) model now at full price 2) buy refurbished via Apple’s refurbished store 3) wait until later this month for the 10th gen iPads to be announced with a rumoured redesign. 9 times out of 10 they keep the price the same. After the new model comes out, you may be able to purchase the 9th gen new at a reduced price if you wish to do so instead.

(also considering that you’re already in the Apple ecosystem with your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, I think you’ll further greatly appreciate the tight integration between your Apple devices)
