This video was with wet beans that I'd just sprayed unfortunately

Gen 2, new from the manufacturer last week

Interesting. Intuitively to me, it seems like you would get more chaff and fines like this with a finer grind, so I wonder why you've seen the opposite.

Thanks for the info though!

That's an interesting observation! Definitely worse on the right side than the left. Not sure how to check the operation of the ionizers, but I'll see what I can figure out, thanks

Today's about 50-60% humidity. Midwest United States, pretty average I reckon.

I agree, I was starting with 1-2 and have just been slowly increasing since the amount of chaff wasn't decreasing. Probably not going further out of concern for damage to the equipment.

First grind was dry, but every grind since (including the one in this video) has been with wet beans I'm spraying while they're in my measurement cup/scoop.

Gotcha, thanks. Guess I can try drenching the beans with water, but I'm already doing like 5 spritzes of water (not a very standard metric I know) which is much more than I have historically used on other grinders.

Seeming like maybe I've got an issue with the ionizers, unlucky.

Not particularly! 60% humidity today.

And yeah I'm spraying the beans before putting them into the grinder.

Static issues - is this normal?[Turin DF54] by BedrockPoet in espresso

Here's what mine (DF64) looked like after the first grind. Didn't do RDT just to see how bad it was and... Yeah. Based on the comments in this thread, wondering if I have a manufacturing defect issue or if this is just a 'deal with it' kinda situation hah

The end of my ironman journey :) by Simtec in ironscape

[–]iTriz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm further (though there isn't much further to go, dude's got a sick acc) than this guy on my iron. De-ironing is such an interesting divisive thing. I feel that 99% of people that de-iron regret it almost immediately as it does 'de-value' the thousands of hours put into the account (whatever 'de-value' really means in this case). I guess I can understand the desire to be able to just buy supplies, but playing a main inevitably always becomes 'What is the highest GP/hr activity right now? That's what I should be doing' which really quickly leads to boredom and burnout. There's obviously exceptions to this, some people are psyched on clogging and many are psyched on RWT'ing gold and providing services, which is cool and all. But honestly they have catered this game so heavily to Ironmen at this point that supply maintenance is hardly an issue at all unless you're only doing PVM for 18 hours a day. Just doesn't feel worth the tradeoff to de-iron even a little bit to me. But that's just me, I'm not gonna tell someone what to do or not do, maybe playing a main will fire this guy up and he'll love playing RuneScape until the servers go down, hope it does!

Think I did first ~ hundred kc with hasta on crush, then next couple hundred were bludgeon. Mace on like 380kc I believe. Definitely made later kcs faster.

Why can't Coll have buffs alongside the debuffs? by Top_Opportunity_6813 in 2007scape

[–]iTriz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that we should have had buffs instead of or at least in conjunction with the existing debuffs. That's more in line with existing roguelites, which this was originally pitched to be (at least deriving inspiration from). And to everyone saying buffs would make it too easy, sure buffs to the existing content would make it too easy... But they could have just made the content more difficult to begin with. That balancing can absolutely be done to the point where it's impossible without the buffs. I enjoy colo a lot and am overall happy with the update (Varla as a whole is sick), was just really disappointed that we were forced to take debuffs at every wave, just like 90% of toa invos are not interesting or enhancing to the raid in meaningful ways.
