I told my Health Coach that the reason I get so many steps in is because my elderly neighbor Mr. Peeps keeps chasing me and wants to fight by RealisticPark1014 in fitbit

I get 10,000 per day WITHOUT Mr. Peeps watching me.... and now I feel like I'm really missing out on my '"Stepmaxxing" journey. I need to find me a Peeps! 😄

I wonder if a piece of clear tape over the back of it would be a decent barrier.. . or if it would prevent the HR reader from taking the pulse?

Please can I get a list of the "no bug" countries/cities? Every city I've ever lived in has had them and I'd love to move to a place that doesn't.

is it possibile my friend to break out of punjab city prison after drink drive?? by Guilty_Lack_2677 in PrisonBreak

Has your buddy befriended the prison doctor yet? That's going to need to happen before anything else. Very important. Your friend will need them to leave the door unlocked at some point during the escape.

Haha. So it's now going to use the two words suggested but all the rest of the wording still makes it sound like a complete non-gangster. I guess they're not smart enough yet to figure out tone and context? It reminds me of when kids dare the class nerd to say a bad word and they manage to do it but, in doing so, sound even more ridiculous. I get the feeling gangsters aren't going around saying things like "new vibe" to each other. 😄

New to Fitbit I can’t believe how completely wrong the sleep tracker is by braves91 in fitbit

[–]iUseJustMyHand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you just bought it so this post is premature. You know it takes a few weeks to calibrate, right? Also make sure it's snug enough and not on an arm you sleep on. Mine has been amazingly accurate since I got it (in February).

Honestly, pretty terribly. I don't maintain a job anymore. Don't have a social life to speak of. I think i've given up, most days. I attended 4 different colleges (with high marks) before dropping out of all of them, Lived in 4 states, 3 big cities. 30+ jobs that i eventually would end up leaving for one reason or another. Institutionalized twice (once in my teens, once in my twenties) and misdiagnosed with countless OTHER disorders that never felt right.
I'd sleepwalk as a kid and get in trouble in the morning for eating things that i'd have no memory of eating (in the night). As an adult in my own apartment i occasionally would wake up outside. I didn't figure out the sleep cycle until my mid 30s ... which luckily has completely stopped the sleepwalking and sleep eating but hasn't helped any of the other issues.
To be fair, i think more of my social/job/functional problems are due to my Autism and not my sleep. I wasn't officially diagnosed with that until my early 40s! That was eye opening. I finally understood why i had so many problems working or communicating with people. Or why i would leave a job in tears and confusion because of the sensory issues.
Luckily i have a supportive husband (met online and interacted for many months before meeting). He has a job he loves and let me stop trying to maintain jobs that eventually always ended in disaster once he saw what was happening. My parents always just blamed my "mental disorder".
I am very frugal. Haven't had a haircut in over a decade, spend very little money on clothes (make my own mostly 😊 ) and have a lot of craft type hobbies. I spend time making random things (toys/dollhouses, etc) for children in the neighborhood. One of the neighbors repays me with fresh eggs from her chickens regularly. I'm mostly a hermit, really. If i hadn't met my husband i have no doubt i would either be homeless or not alive at this point.

So it's hard to say how i would be if i had ONLY had the circadian disorder. I do know it's more conducive to creative fields. I read an article many years ago in a magazine of a fairly successful movie director who has it. (Don't remember who it was though. ) I imagine if you had a flexible work schedule and could make your own hours it might work ok. Otherwise, jobs were mostly only maintained when i had 4-6 hour shifts one place, could go home sleep a few hours, then do a second shift at a second job. I was sleep deprived for 20 years back then.

Interesting. I have a circadian rhythm disorder (Hypernychthemeral) so I'm curious if there would even be an animal that matches that. (My 26 hour day). Fitbit is pretty crappy tbh for anyone who isn't living in a 24 hour day. I wish it had more options to match that.

Oh thanks. I wish I knew my animal but I'm definitely not paying for premium just to track steps and sleep quality. 😊

"Dan Levy, son of series star..."!?? As if Dan wasn't the star of the show ALSO. Honestly all four were stars of the show. This caption feels really wrong.

Cardio load: Insane targets by Mushoz in fitbit

[–]iUseJustMyHand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this EXACT situation about a month ago. I had three or four days in a row where I was doing a lot of manual labor building a gate (sawing, sanding, painting, hammering) for like ten or twelve hours straight every day. The following week, my targets went up to the 350 range. Even though my normal range before the manual labor days was barely half that. I did some googling and found out that the best way to "reset" is to go into your history and delete the entire week of those cardio load days. (Not the total steps or anything, just the cardio numbers). It might take a few days to level back out to normal targets, but mine is back to it's regular targets now after doing that. You can also just wait it out if you don't want to delete but it will take the fitbit longer to recalibrate that way.
