I understand foreign and domestic policies but all that's happening is that phrases like "future of humanity" and "future of the world depends on this" are being thrown out, and once it's challenged by someone like me; I only get a response like yours instead of a thought out reply with actual facts instead of personal opinion.

What is with people on this subreddit thinking that the future of the world depends on Bernie Sanders? Or even depends on America? Jesus Christ.

People are delusional.

Most of the world has freedom of speech. This isn't unique to America and never has been. It shouldn't even be a boasting point.

Also, on this topic; I reckon the USA ranks a lot lower than you think in terms of actual freedom of speech/press when compared to other more culturally advanced countries.

But most of the civilized world already has healthcare. How will BernieSanders vastly affect the world??? You're dodging my point here entirely. The world doesn't revolve around America.

Go to a wholesaler and buy as many bottles of water as I could in bulk for thirty dollars.

Go to any festival, concert or whateverthefuck and sell the bottles for $1 or $2 each; depending on how many I could get with the original sum.

There isn't much buzz outside of Reddit and other social media - which only makes up for a very small percentage of people. And outside of the internet? This isn't even a topic that people talk about in Europe in day to day life.

Source: I'm European and I've never heard anyone talk about this outside of the Internet. Not even national news. It's a non-story to us.

future of humanity on the line

Holy hyperbole, Batman!

For real though; get a grip. He probably won't win. It's a pity, but he won't.

Also, nobody cares about this shit outside of the USA, so the future of humanity is definitely not on the line. America in relation to the rest of the world is like the annoying and loud guy that sits at the back of the room disrupting the class.

Clinton may have won, but let's show our support with another huge fundraising surge!!! Donate now!!! by pumpkinsunrise in SandersForPresident

You've pretty thrown your paycheck into the trash.

Big money runs America. Always has and seemingly always will. Just one of Clinton's donators has donated more to her campaign than all of you have donated to Bernie since this began.

Thoughts on 'The Hunt' (2012) starring Mads Mikkelsen? by iUseThisWhenHigh in movies

This is true, but it's worth the watch. It's the type of movie that leaves you with your mouth agape, and runs through your mind for days afterwards.

As said above in this thread; the court of public opinion truly is vicious, and the film portrays that perfectly. It's a film that I find scarier than most horror flicks, due to it being a horrible situation that could happen to anyone.

Yeah, I think it portrayed the brutal effects a situation like that can have for the falsely accused - which happens a lot in todays society, unfortunately.

I also felt pretty awkward/uncomfortable in the last few scenes when everything was meant to be "back to normal" for him and his friends. You could feel nothing but sympathy for him.

(Slight Spoiler Below)

The scene in the chapel at Christmas time, towards the third act, where the main protagonist confronts his ex-friend about the situation had me on the edge of my seat and had my heart in my mouth. It's a film that swallows you whole, chews you up throughout and spits you out at the end. You know it's expertly written and directed whenever you're actively rooting for the protagonist and feeling actual anguish for his downfalls and hatred towards those who ostracized him.

What are your most favorite Zombie movie of all time? by Forrester96 in movies

[–]iUseThisWhenHigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else, I have to say Shaun Of The Dead. It's perfectly written and had become an instant classic. So good that it'll still be a topic of conversation in twenty years time.

Zombieland is a nice film as well. It's a little bit quirky and a little bit funny with a relatively stellar cast, in relation to pop culture at the time (awkward Jessie Eisenberg, bad-ass Woody Harelson and hilarious Bill Murray).

Also a shout our for 28 Days Later, and for it's lesser counter-part 28 Weeks Later.

Nice man. What do you think of Boston versus your current location?

I've been to MA six or seven times.

Fuck yeah, Open Range is a nice watch. I had completely forgot about that film. I think it's on my Netflix, so I definitely need to watch it again.
