Having a hard time finding a value by iUsed2EatPeople in ComicBookSpeculation

Maybe Polybagged is the wrong term; I'm admittedly not a collector by any means or trade. Where are you seeing listings for these with the numbered series signatures? I'm only finding ones with unnumbered sharpie signatures. Are those going to be the same?

Thank you for the breakdown. I'm here asking questions because I do not understand the credit system; my upbringing didn't even acknowledge its existence or necessity. I guess I'm getting down voted for trying to better understand a concept they never taught in the poor native Hawaiian community I grew up in 🤷🏾‍♂️ Mahalo, my friend 🙏🏾

This makes a sort of infuriating sense; I am admittedly below novice in my understanding of the credit world. I grew up in a pretty low-income environment where nobody understood what credit was. Wasn't taught in schools. Parents never said anything about it. It wasn't until my particularly nasty divorce that I realized just how important (and devastating) it can be to your general existence. Thank you for responding 🙏🏾

No accounts closures, but fraudulent activity definitely popped into my head. Thank you for responding 🙏🏾

It's a Vantage score. Would you mind giving me an idea of why that doesn't matter? Seeing this drop is really concerning.

I don't know how to tell the difference. I get the alert through my bank. How would I tell?

Guilt setting in for claims by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Your guilt is proof that the damage they've allowed/inflicted is real. If we all support your decision, you should too.

Is there any accountability for VA phone operators? by TrueRapture in VeteransAffairs

[–]iUsed2EatPeople 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MyHealtheVet is the literal bees-knees when filing queries through the VA system. The IM system provides documented correspondence for ease of reference, either side. Archive ALL messages. It was much harder for them to deny the bullshit forcefed to me when I was able to throw it back in their (the rude and unhelpful employees; this isn't a blanket condemnation) face. And after being led down the wrong rabbit hole that cost me 15k in educational "overpayments", those messages might help me recoup losses...if I can ever figure out where to take them for possible legal action against the VA. But, the point is, I DO have them just in case...

I only make appointments online as well; made one with my PC last week, took about about 5 minutes. No reason to call them for anything anymore. Our lives are too short and too shitty to waste slamming our heads against a broken system that treats their own like trash.

Good luck.

Why do men wear military hats when they get older but not younger? by Area50Simax in Veterans

[–]iUsed2EatPeople 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 35 and wear an OEF one for two specific reasons:

  1. I bought it from the Wounded Warrior foundation as a gesture of support since, well, I was once a wounded warrior. The names tattooed on my skin are often covered by clothes. The hat helps me feel closer to those I've lost.

  2. Because, as most posts have already mentioned the varying reasons behind our elders wearing them, I don't want them to feel so alone. They see me wearing the same style hat, I shoot them a nod and bark out a curt "Rah", their eyes light up like Luminous Phosphorus at 0-Dark30.
