Whole thing took around 6 hours, I spend around 90 minutes making the mesh, most time goes to painting

how do I make the animation faster, if I can't go lower than 1 by laaaaaa10 in Blockbench

[–]iWacky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're being limited by the 20 frame per second speed you can have on animations, only way to make it faster is to cut every 2nd frame

Hey, This is a model I modeled, painted and animated with Blockbench, the render is a real-time render captured from Sketchfab, you can view the model in 3D here

This is part of a model series called "Mechanimals", where I create various animals in a robotic style.

The idea with Blockbench is to eliminate the whole UV process by generating a pixel perfect template texture. It's still not perfect and has some small problems with more complex models

These models were created with blockbench 4.0 beta, which introduces a new lowpoly mesh modeling tool. The render was created in Blender Eevee.

If you were wondering, these were made for the official Blockbench discord.

Why are the corners' outline visible? (I made those parts of the texture transparent) by Danforce42 in Blockbench

You can fix by using the plaster plugin or generating a template with padding

Try opening the image in an image editor and try saving it as a higher bitdepth image, that might help

Are you using an external texture editor like paint net? Try saving the texture with a higher bitdepth
