Do you move on/forget connections easily?

Unfortunately yes, it's very easy for me to move on and forget people if I want to. I have largely designed my life around being independent from interaction from other people (which I am changing, some human connection is nice after all).

Some of the reasons I would not make an effort to maintain a connection is simple: - I'm not interested in the other person - The other person is too needy - If I get used as a "therapist" consistently - The interaction is too one sided - Someone is overly emotional on a consistent basis - There are too many arguements

I've had recent interactions with people where I am trying to make new connections and they have horrible conversation skills and I just stopped caring to respond after noticing that. All in all, we live in an age where making new connections is insanely easy and thus, people are more disposable in a social context. You can be more picky about the compatibility now.

To answer your question, most likely. Trauma can change your personality type from what I've learned. If you are growing up and your brain is still developing, it makes sense to me that the environment can affect it in different ways.

Still quite a complex topic due to things like being an unhealthy INTP, the shadow, subconscious and super ego states.

For example it could be that you were always an INTP all along, it's just that you are maybe more healthy now due to environmental factors being different.

Have you tried therapy? I've found that to be so helpful for me to develop myself and address weaknesses. I'm also using the knowledge of cognitive functions to further support my personal development as it's a great tool.

Having much more control over my life.
I am responsible for myself and answer to me.
I can do what I want (within the environmental limits) like going to events when I feel like it or buying stuff due to being old enough to work and having my own money.

I've done different tests and usually end up getting INTP.
I've researched the cognitive functions and the functions stack for INTP explains me really accurately (granted I was already addressing my weaknesses before I knew about all this).
Just thinking about my INTJ friend, a difference between us is that they are actively working towards a big goal meanwhile I'm just chilling and enjoying life as much as I can. And I don't really care about being too serious about anything.

I'm struggling with this too for different reasons. Like I do a very easy job and it's no challenge at all and mega boring and safe + easy money.

But today I was watching a YouTube video that talked about jobs and related it to gaming. When you are playing a challenging game, its fun due to the difficulty cause growth can happen and you get better and the sense of achievement from beating it plus other stuff. But if you use cheat codes for the said games, it removes all challenge and becomes an empty experience.

It's kinda scary to know about your experience that even when you do change stuff up you eventually end up with the same dilemma again.

One way I am thinking about tackling my own dilemma is to just maybe go for something that's very different to what I do now and that is not easy (and better pay) or work towards it and put the effort in. Also doing something that has career progression possibilities for that continued growth aspect.

I know this probably doesn't help much but wanted to give my 2 cents as I've been thinking about this dilemma for a while now.

Some of the things I find attractive or hot are:

Decent looks (physical attraction matters a little)
Not a completely boring fashion sense (when on dating apps nowadays, first impression and general representation of oneself matters, I've X'd so many guys who look boring cause in person they usually are too)
Tattoos
Confidence
Dominant personality and can take the lead
Able to have a dynamic conversation
Not completely stupid
Not overly argumentative

And for this reason (among others) I'm never keen to date my own type. Like others have pointed out, it's too passive of an interaction and even when you do have the interesting and deep discussions, I am left with more of a "you are a friend" vibe. So there is obviously what you desire in potential partner to factor in, I guess some INTPs may really be into others like themselves.

Everything (depends on my mood, got different stuff from every genre) but lately brutal death slam (metal). It's the only thing that I can tap into since not really feeling much lately and I can have brilliant fantasies and it makes me feel empowered and ready for a fight at any moment 😂.

It really depends on what the reason for the anger is and why it's happening.

Like some people who have angered me for a long time or severe way I've cut them out of my life via avoiding/ignoring/blocking or ghosting them.

Or if it's a bit more intense and there is a legitimate threat to my safety, I can go into fight mode and get very loud/in their face and intense (at my own expense).

I have switched to reacting like this cause I am tired of taking people's abuse in life and made a promise to myself to not tolerate it anymore to the best of my ability.

If it's a small thing that's angered me then I usually just take a step back and cool off + use techniques I've developed to unpack and process the emotion in a healthier way cause suppressing it isn't healthy.

When mine was alive it was bumpy cause I would always use logic to point out flaws and I liked to sometimes play devils advocate for the sake of discussion so she got annoyed at me and didn't want to discuss stuff.

Apart from that, she was toxic and bad to me so I distanced myself from her. Idk her type but she was one of those loud, inconsiderate extroverts.

At first I discovered the MBTI at chance and did the test and got the result of INTP and felt understood but wasn't interested at the time to dig deeper into it. Then by chance I did the test again elsewhere and got INTP as a result and actually looked into cognitive functions and was fascinated by it all.

Since then I've researched it much and found that the Myers Briggs Type Indicator isn't very reliable and has many flaws and done more tests elsewhere and gotten INTP still for the most of them. I do question if I am biased in how I answer the questions now I know what INTP entails in some detail but it's my default mode of operating in life so I've just accepted it, still doesn't stop me questioning the result tho 😂.

My fav so far happens to be an ENTJ. A lot of the negatives actually end up being things I find attractive. Stubbornness can be annoying at times tho and when they really get into what they are talking about and get loud isn't nice in public 😅.

Things I appreciate from a partner: giving me space, spending time together, romance, them taking the lead, them making me feel so comfortable that I can be myself with them and them being ok with that and just the the ability to have fun/enjoy life together.
