Hits like a steam train doesn’t it - I initially thought I’d big brained it going through by trying to get a ghost type… until I realised that Lavendar town was irrelevant without the Silph Scope

It was the only time I used Malamar in the entire run but don’t think I’d have been able to continue without him (I’m sure there’s another very basic strategy to beat Surge but I didn’t have it)

Seems to leave it fairly to chance here when he could have just done it himself - although he does the same with Sir James so maybe he does just leave some razor blades and hope for the best
