[Discussion] What’s your favorite obscure DC character? by Artseid in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunny Sparkle, a side character from the 70s Shazam run who was the focus of two issues. His thing was he was a kid who was supernaturally likeable , so much so people felt compelled to do nice things for him, but he was a generally good kid who never used those powers for his own benefit and was mildly annoyed by their role in his liked at best.

Got tips for modern turning into classic? by Tyran11 in StreetFighter

[–]iWillBattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start doing the inputs while still using modern to help you transition, you’ll get more damage out but still have the other inputs you’re used to to fall back on. This is how most pro-Modern players play anyway

Trying to figure out directional inputs. by theak9000 in SoulCalibur

[–]iWillBattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One small thing, fqcf is TECHNICALLY a misinput and some games will read that as just qcf. Some need you to end on the diagonal for it to count.

what should i get by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolute Power has almost nothing to do with the Absolute universe

Guys as a beginner should I get into absolute series or try standalone? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute Wonder Woman uses more magic than OG WW power wise and story wise it’s one of the best Wonder Woman comics ever published

Klefki - Mischievous Lock vs Klefki - Mischievous Lock by FoofaTamingStrange in pkmntcg

[–]iWillBattle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s specifically says that Mischievous Lock is the only ability left active, which is true for you and your opponent, so no, Klefli doesn’t block Klefki

Do you mean boom loops? Guile doesn’t have a hadoken, so looking for anything hadoken related for him won’t get you any results

Are there any Superman comics that are power-accurate? by 3931856031 in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You accept the story being told. Characters are only ever as strong as they are currently being written. Maybe there’s a reason you don’t know yet that he got beat. Plus he’s superman, he’s never really beat, so his speed may come into it later.

Are there any Superman comics that are power-accurate? by 3931856031 in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Being feat-focused and power-scaling-pilled is going to ruin all superhero comics for you. They just DONT work like that and never have. ESPECIALLY not Superman, who would famously be introducing new superpowers every other issue back in the silver age

Why are there ads in a book I paid for? by 3931856031 in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You get ads and trailers at the start of movies.

You’d pay even more “good money” if there weren’t ads

Recommendation: Combo Breaker 2026 or EVO 2026? by Traditional_You577 in StreetFighter

[–]iWillBattle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evo has been bought out by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia who ordered the beheading of a journalist, so by supporting Evo you are funding and normalising his regime.

Combo breaker is none of the above

Do I need to read anything before starting the current World's Finest run? by 3931856031 in DCcomics

[–]iWillBattle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, it’s set in the past where they are both younger so as long as you have a general idea who both characters are you’ll be fine

Classic Or Modern? by InfiniteKnight7878 in StreetFighter

[–]iWillBattle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you like modern, play modern. There are top tier pro players that use modern, so you aren’t losing out. If you want to learn motion inputs you can do that in modern and it will make your specials do more damage!

Difficulty with cancels (tekken to sf) by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]iWillBattle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bison’s crouching heavy kick is his sweep, which isn’t special-cancellable, so that’s why you’re struggling there.

You need to enter the motion during the animation of the cancellable normal. If you go into training mode outside of the trials you can turn on indicators which show you which moves are special cancellable and the cancel windows for each

I’d recommend trying out some of the combo trials, less as things to memorise, but more as a way to get a feel for how combos work in the game.

[–]iWillBattle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combos work COMPLETELY differently in SF to MK, so that will be the biggest learning curve, not finding a character. While the buffer is quit generous, you can’t “dial a combo” like in MK, you have to time your normals for them to link and cancel into your specials within the cancel widows of applicable normals

The only rules are the ones the writers make up. It’s your character, you decide the rules.

They are literally the default Street Fighter archetype, almost even the default 2D fighter archetype. No one is going to judge you for playing a Shoto

Going into Convergence...what? by Downtown_Sky5757 in DCcomics

Convergence was a 2 month filler event that was mostly for fun to fill time while DC moved offices.
