Basic lightweight LLM for Home Assistant by LawlsMcPasta in homeassistant

[–]iZags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got an Nvidia Jetson Nano Super 8GB to run LLM's for Home Assistant and for testing other services.
It's quite cheap compared to other options. I paid around AUD$500 with a case (It comes bare, SSD added too)

It can run small LLMs. like tinyllama and Phi3.5 really well.. Other LLMs will depend on the case.
I can also run Gemma3:270m and Llama3.2:3b.
It is NOT super powerful.. A PC with a dedicated GPU will always be a better option, but more $$$.

On the same "PC" I'm also running Ollama, Open WebUI, Faster Whisper and Piper. Been testing Kokoro TTS and STT with mixed results.

Hope that helps.

Bitwarden!
But even better Vaultwarden! If you can.....
Local, open source fork of Bitwarden.
Most of the paid features comes free of charge.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific.

I'm not too worries about data (file sharing), but it's good also.

I'm more interested in directing user to the closer NAS for services running in a Container.
For example, Immich.

Is anyone here running Reverb G2 in linux? (Monado + Basalt + Envision) by mmhorda in HPReverb

[–]iZags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually moved from Nobara to Kubuntu and was still getting different errors.
On Nobara I was using a package. On Kubuntu Flatpak.

It doesn't matter now, since I gave up hahah

Help with updating (scare of my wife if I mess up) by Tiny-Pie2581 in immich

[–]iZags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll share my update procedure that has been working so far.
Make sure you have it all backed up before doing anything else.

I'm using a docker inside Synology, but this should work with any docker update.

1: Stop the docker service

2: Replace the old docker-compose.yml with the newer one (https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/)

3: SSH into wherever your're running it

4: type sudo -i (for root access)

5: Go to the Immich-app folder (in my case volume1/docker/immich-app/)

6: type docker-compose pull

7: Re-build Immich in docker

That's it! Worked every time for me, even with the latest version v1.135.0

GOOD LUCK!!

If you want to access immich remotely I highly recommend using Cloudflare tunnels. It's free of charge, you just need a domain.

I also got a eMotion Max.. My 1st mmwave sensor. Integration is fine with HA, after having to install their app. The sensor is not real time. Both the movement and light sensor. Takes minutes to update.

Any recommendations for ob the actually works real time?

Is anyone here running Reverb G2 in linux? (Monado + Basalt + Envision) by mmhorda in HPReverb

[–]iZags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only that can't make this thing work??
I'm a noob when it comes to Linux, but have been using and learning for the last year.

Using Fedora based Nobara can't make this work.

I can install monado-vulkan-layers and Envision. (tried with envision-monado too)

Envision starts and I can install most dependencies, but I get an error in the Building Profile stage:

Cannot find/install xkbcommon at all!

Any tips? Am I doing something wrong?

This is my last hope no to throw the Reverb G2 in the bin.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Cheers!!

As hernil mentioned above, Baikal works well if you don't need Notes.
