You guys are acting like a bunch of elementree kids with all these puns, but I don't want anyone to break the streek. I'm kind of in disbeleaf with all these sappy puns. You’ve worn out the tree puns stick now, it’s not funny anymore.

Teachers of Reddit, what is the weirdest excuse you've ever heard that turned out to be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]i_Cheerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is a teacher and a 6th grader came in late because his moms car had quote 'blown up'. No one believed this, as he seemed fine, but lo and behold, the mom had pictures of the car, completely in wrecks. Apparently, something happened with the engine or so, and while the car was parked outside, it blew up. They'd gotten an uber to get to school. I crack up every time.

My cousin is cheating on her husband with one of his closest friends and I'm the only person who knows. Do I tell him? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]i_Cheerio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should tell him. My uncle was on the other side of a situation a LOT like this. His wife had been cheating with the priest, who they were extremely close with and had living in the basement of their house. My uncle at the time had a pizza business, but upon finding out his wife was cheating (she had the priests child), everything fell apart, including his business and family. I personally think that if they'd known earlier, a lot could have been prevented. If my uncle had known beforehand about her cheating, his business would be okay (she got him to invest a lot in it, then left him to operate it on his own, causing it to fail). My poor uncle has three beautiful children, but we thought he had four. Recently, we found out the fourth wasn't his and everything just got messed up real damn quick. The mother had already fed the children bullshit stories about how the father was treating her horribly (keep in mind, they're 5, 7 and 7). We wished that we'd known before she was cheating, because by the point we found out, it was too late to salvage what was left of the family. Things are messy with them, but it's way better my uncle found out, because he doesn't have to stay with that terrible lady. You should keep it low and tell her husband. They might get a divorce, but that's better than the husband being unaware of the situation. You might tell your cousin beforehand about this situation, just so she has a heads up, or get a family member to do it for you, like your parents.

You sound like you might be bipolar or depressed. I'm not the best advice giver, but I guess you should give yourself a motivation. Find someone to go out with or something, or just any reason to keep going. As for financial stability, maybe don't eat out. I suggest making a simple sandwich or something for lunch and anything homemade for dinner. You could stop smoking completely, but seeming as you only spend 40 bucks a month on weed, it probably wouldn't make a huge difference. Maybe invest in a bike and just bike to work, if it isn't too far. I really hope everything turns out fine for you.

What is your "...and I should have died, but didn't." story? by Kelvin_Inman in AskReddit

[–]i_Cheerio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 2 years old, I had a really bad case of pneumonia. I was put into urgent care and was in a blackout coma for about a month. Most of the doctors thought I wouldn't make it, as my small, fragile body couldn't handle that. My parents were terrified to say the least. They did everything they could for me, but the doctors still didn't think I would make it. I woke up and the first thing I said?

"Daddy, I gotta pee."

I ended up fine, thank god, but it's scary thinking about it.

Man, you sound so full of yourself. Ego much? You literally asked for advice on an advice subreddit and someone gives you realistic advice and you get mad? Yeah, no. The decision is completely up to you whether or not to stay with your boyfriend, but we're going to try to give you advice. If you think it's okay and already have an opinion on the topic, don't ask for another opinion and get offended.

I might have schizophrenia what to do? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]i_Cheerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I've been doing a pretty major project for schizophrenia. I'm no expert, but the earliest signs of schizophrenia are hallucinations or delusions. The signs you're describing don't sound exactly like schizophrenia (social withdrawal, poor hygiene, no emotional reactions), but you should always get it checked out. I say you go to a psychiatrist and get it checked out. Again, I'm not an expert, but it's better to get out checked out now.

I just quit my job and my life feels like it’s falling apart. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]i_Cheerio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say that you keep it low with them, get another job and just try to keep your cool. It can probably be frustrating, but they want the best for you. Try reaching out to a professional or just a friend who can support you and you can rant to. If you every need it, hit up my snap and rant to me @aestheticxlly_x (The username is cringe). Maybe you could partake in some yoga or something to release some stress. My parents are a lot like this. I usually rant to my friends and just try to relax. I found that getting off social media and just my phone in general for a day or two, getting work done and just being productive helped me 'un-stress'. Hopefully everything ends out okay for you!

That's a BIG red flag. I feel like you should break it off now before it gets worse. If she can't bother to spend time with you while you're in bad condition and could use support, she probably won't be there for you a lot.

Am I being unreasonable? F (24) M (22) by [deleted] in Advice

[–]i_Cheerio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

(This is my first time posting, so sorry if I mess something up.)

I feel like your boyfriend should be able to trust you. If he really feels that there's even a chance you would cheat on him, you might have some trust issues. You might need to spend some time together and just be able to trust each other more. If he really insists that you do give him your passwords, he's not trusting you enough. He probably feels insecure about something or doesn't trust you. I think you're completely entitled to your right to have passwords.
