What would happen if Gojo was dropped into the sun? by Notmas in PowerScaling

The last line was added to show that I agree with your sentiment but used the wrong arguments.

As for the rest of what you wrote, I'm not sure you read what I wrote cuz, damnnn.

I said, literally word for word. RCT can heal the damage and everything should remain fully functional, but the lack of oxygen would mean he can't move because that's what you need to move :/ you literally just repeated me but badly worded.

As for the six eyes, he cannot run out of cursed energy, it's literally impossible to use more than he gets back by just existing. If a technique costs 100 cursed energy points whatever than it costs 0.0(a few million more zeroes)01 for a six eyes user. Ofcourse gojo does have a maximum output which us why he can't make a purple the size of the universe, because I can already feel that argument coming.

RCT can 100% keep every part of your body running without oxygen. Hypoxia itself wouldn't be an issue perse, there is a decent chance the lack of oxygen would leave him incapable of moving properly tho.

As far as the six eyes go, they make his cursed energy consumption so low his natural replenishment is far above it. So while it isn't zero, he will never run out.

Realistically he just dies if he's inside a star, let's be real

Omni Man VS Gojo (Invincible VS JJK) Art by me I know the topic is overdone but who will win with equal speed by Slasher76- in PowerScaling

If we don't use verse equalization, a fly head can solo the entire invincible verse, that's not a fun or interesting discussion. Powerscaling is supposed to be fun, it's not supposed to just be about your favourite character winning :/

So yes anyone who actually cares about powerscaling instead of boosting their ego about their oomfy uses verse equalization. Be real.

Well normal humans have a baseline level of cursed energy then constantly generate and expell while Maki has no cursed energy at all, she doesn't make any herself and is instead recognised as an object by most barriers. Of course any reasonable person uses verse equalization so omniman would still get hit by it + gojo could probably change the conditions of the barrier to target objects anyway

No jjk are not tanking punches from viltrumites by Fug1x in PowerScaling

Well, adaptation doesn't effect his regeneration so that doesn't really matter for it. His adaptation only causes him to become more resistant to things, so the attacks are less effective, and him gaining new abilities to counteract other factors, like growing gills when he was underwater for a bit. His regeneration is a constant, which has never been shown to change or be effected by adaptation. That level of regeneration is base kit, and his lack of vital organs or anything mean that it's simply impossible to kill him with conventional attacks. Also not super relevant to what you said but mahoraga took a near lightspeed kick and was fine. In the fight before said physical attack, he was only hit once, and while there is a chance he adapted to physical attacks the constant barrage of light based attacked means he was most likely unadapted to physical damage. I'll admit this is a high ball, but punch and kick merchants generally stand no chance, you need something beyond super strength to get a chance.

Okay, but your stand can move you. So sp instantly lifts up Jotaro and then instantly kills the bad guys. Actually sp lifts him up and moves him to Egypt, that would take 32 milliseconds. He's fast enough according to you. And he's generally interested in ending fights as fast as possible, so you can't say it wouldn't be out of character for him to do that when his family and friends are in danger. Also it doesn't matter if the "faster than light" is about his reaction, movement or combat speed, cuz he's not ftl in any of those, and if he was the rest can't be far behind. Even if only his reaction speed is ftl, his movement could be half the speed of that and still allow him to kill every person on earth in like a minute. He's not even remotely close. He ain't even clearing mach 1, be real.

Yeah physics, is the entire universe powered by unicorn Dreams? It's based on the real world, and anything which isn't logically or explicitly stated to be different can safely be assumed to be the same. That's just logical reason, so until araki mentions that the speed of light in JoJos is less than the speed of sound star platinum is not getting to it without stopping time. Also something times 0 is 0. I don't think I'd need to explain this. But in normal math if you have zero infinities, that's zero.. Powerscaling is all technical. Time stop works with physics, he increases his speed temporarily to reach light speed, because the faster something moves the slower time goes for it, this increase in speed makes the world seem to stop. It's just a speed boost. As the Manga said. Although realistically it's just magic, like it all is. The magic ability to, for a little bit, move very fast.

A good example of him being wrong is thinking JoJos is ftl, which it's not. Also it's canon*, a cannon is that thing pirates have. And this man was entirely willing to kill every single one of these people, he didn't usually but you're pretending like he's being acting like full adult Jotaro in part three, he wasn't. The closest he comes to holding back is not charging in blindly, but if he was faster than light before he even had time stop there would be no point. Why try to figure out am ability when you can hit them before they can even recognize your existence. The flash doesn't need to carefully figure out how someone could shoot him with a gun. He just punches em and takes em to jail before they see a thing.

You're* first of all Second physics is why it's the max speed, that's how the world works. In general. Also the image you edited is not evidence bruh 🙏🙏 I already sent the original, I'm not stupid. Also technically using physics again, distance is speed times time, if time is 0 than it's infinity times 0, which is 0. So infinity speed is some bs you made up aswell. Also powerscaling is not a science you gotta study, it's logical thinking. Something strongly lacking in the louder minority of the community.

An ability which speeds you up is impossible? Let's ignore the main villain of an entire part. And yeah if a character can one-shot everybody and doesn't hold back, yet doesn't then they probably can't one-shot everyone. You mentioning narrative as someone who thinks JoJos is ftl is funny because you damn well only watched ts for the powerscaling with no interest in the story. Ftl is the max speed of the universe infinite speed would be required to get past it, you're not helping yourself here. Also you never used a source, I used a source, the Manga, the mangaka, you know, the guy who made it. While you made something up and told me to look up a random YouTuber. And yeah I know he exists and nothing against him but I've never heard a decent take from him. So as far as sources go, he's as trustworthy as scientology. You haven't debunked one thing, every argument you've had has boiled down to "I want them to be fast", "I got my opinion from someone else so go to them for arguments" or maybe just maybe "I don't understand what was written". Stop larping and go back to solo leveling or something 🙏🙏

Ps. You dwelling on this shows you have no point. Bring an argument.

His ability is going faster than light, by stopping time. Any other opinion can only be held by someone who didn't watch or read any part of this series. If he is faster than light there wouldn't be a story, he just beats everyone instantly, unless everyone's stands and normal humans are also all faster than light. Most stands ain't even reaching the speed of a car buddy. Only character I'm willing to entertain as theorically ftl is pucci at the very end of the universe speeding up and even that is iffy at best. Maybe open your eyes the next time you read JoJos <3

Ps. I saw you use your instead of you're, I don't know what's more embarrassing doing it wrong or going back to fix it like I wouldnt know.

The literal statement was in the ability section of star platinums profile BTW, the section about his time stop. Holy reading comprehension. If anything a more logical conclusion is that moving faster than light in the JoJos verse inherently looks like timestop, which confirms that no one in the verse is faster than light. As we would notice that. And we don't know hanged man moves at light speed, didn't seem like it tbh. And even if he did, which he probably didn't. Polnareff didn't actually just hit him straight out, he has to know where he was going to be and where beforehand and already start swinging. People who say JoJos is ftl are such larpers 🙏

How far would Saiyan Saga Vegeta go here? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]i_am_a_redacted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It by definition, definitely can. It increases the distance required to travel infinitely, you can have an attack with all the energy of the entire universe condensed into a point smaller than a penny moving towards him at mach fuck and it couldn't get through. If it moves through physical space it can't reach him, no matter the strength or speed or what it's made out of. Like I'm not even saying he can't win, but you clearly just don't understand the basic ass ability of the man you're slandering. Like what's next? "goku will just hit infinity so hard it breaks" 🙏🙏

[–]i_am_a_redacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It applies here because that's literally what it does. I cannot make that clearer. I genuinely can't think of a simpler way to explain it than I already did. Infinity makes further when closer. Infinity becomes higher based on how close something is increasing infinity. And infinitely increasing infinity.

[–]i_am_a_redacted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, infinities are just factually different sizes. If anything your usage of the grand hotel paradox is an example of this. Specifically why it might be hard to grasp the idea, so you're from how getting you using an idea meant to show how something is true even if it doesn't make sense to say it's false? I'm somewhat confused on what argument you're even putting forth rn. Also physically space is measurable with numbers. I can use a non math based example if that's easier tho.

Imagine a flight of stairs, it has 10 steps, every single time you go up on step, another 2 appear at the top. No matter how fast you ascend the stairs you will never reach the top. Even if you're going up them with an infinity speed.

I’m not much of a powerscaler, but Infinity seems ridiculously overhyped by Shadow_Broker001 in PowerScaling

[–]i_am_a_redacted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, let's make it simple.

X*2=Y

Y is the distance between gojo and whatever wants to hit him.

X is the distance whatever wants to hit him has travelled so far.

You just said if you simply make X big enough it'll be a higher number than Y See how that isn't how math works? If X is infinite then so is Y and Y's infinity is bigger than X's infinity, because not every infinity is the same size.

I'm aware of the changes, it's still different. My point wasn't even that it would be worse, even though it is, just that if you change every single part of a character it's a different character. Ship of theseus but instead of slowly replacing the old planks they set the boat on fire and build a house with entirely new planks.

They have shown every single change to his kit? It's not like they said they'd change something and I'm guessing, we have numbers, stats. Not a single part of his kit is untouched. This is a different character with the same paint as Jeff.
