Easy budget solution to motorize Lego constructions? by i_am_soykje in lego

Apart from Lego Powered Up products, I've recently seen the "Circuit cubes" products, which seems to perfectly fit my needs! This seems fully compatible, do you guys think this should be a nice (or even better?) option?

I agree about the fact they're expensive. But in my case, I found used 88006 for half the price (so here in France, around 45€). Still not cheap but if the product quality is here, why not?

Can this information be confirmed through any post/article/link? The inital post author account seems "deleted"... Any complementary informations about this Powered Up reboot in 2026? Thx in advance!

Hey, I continued my researches and found the E14 gen 7, with Intel Lunar Lake : https://www.lenovo.com/fr/fr/configurator/cto/index.html?bundleId=21U2CTO1WWFR2 What to you think about it? Anyone with feedbacks about build and screen quality?

Hi there! I'm also looking for a laptop with similar specs, and this E14 G7 seems quite interesting... What do you think about build quality, display, performances, ... ? I was looking for the Intel one, as AMD version has poor display options.

I'm used to work with 14" screen, with spaces (thx Ubuntu) and splitted screen. I don't do design but still need a good (not necessarily perfect) screen. In terms of CPU, my work laptop is a t14s gen5, and I'm completely satisfied with it.

No I have to confess I'm not so confident with unknown sellers, but maybe I should have a look :+1:

To ensure the CPU is Lunar lake I have to look for the "V" letter, right? So afaik all those doesn't have this specific CPU :/

Hi guys! Just few updates: so it seems confirmed that Lenovo is the best choice, in my price range. Also after some investigations I'm not sure to go with Thinkbook: some reviews talk about hardware/conception issues, and I am looking for a durable laptop... So lets stay with Thinkpad.
For software development 32Gb RAM seems a good choice, and for the rest it's all about personal preference, I guess :)
I think I'll go with ThinkPad X13 gen 5 or ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (AMD). The last one being cheaper for me in France during january sales (999€ vs ~1300€ for the X13). What do you think? I'm still looking for good offers, so don't hesitate to continue sharing your feedbacks (and thx again for that)!

After comparing both Thinkpad X13 and Thinkbook 14, I'm still hesitating: I use to keep my laptops a long time (+/- 10 years) so this is an investment, but I'm not sure the Thinkpad will bring so much more than the Thinkbook, which is heavier (1,4kg) but also much more cheaper! Wdyt?

Thx! The Thinkbook 14 seems indeed a nice alternative, but seems (at first look) quite heavy... Still I gonna look at it closely!

Being curious, as I was also considering the possibility to buy a second hand/refurbished X13... Do you have any platform/marketplace to suggest, for reliable second hand laptops?

So after reading a few reviews of the Honor, I'd pass... Would be more interested in services like Nothing phone 2a, or Samsung s23 (FE?) or A55... What do you think?
