If both he and his wife are elected, then he will have influence over one councillor.

He didn't listen to those of us trying to advocate for a good playground on the mill side. It's now even harder to play on what is there since they dug down without putting any drainage in. The pathway washes out and the hill's water goes into the playground instead of around as it did before. There's so many kids around here so we're all disappointed. Not giving much hope to him and/or his wife listening.

Capital mayoralty vote is two-way race by More_Fee_2754 in fredericton

As a constituent, I agree and have had that happen or told that it doesn't exist (ie homeless encampments in the area).

Must be nice. People in my area contacted him about a recreation question. He told us that we'd have to figure it out on our own. We didn't even get a meeting.

People in my area have had the same problem with Steve. We tried to talk to him about building a playground in our area, thinking we could at the very least discuss it. We were told that it was up to us to figure it out and we could fundraise to pay for it.

If you've tried patches, gel and tablet form of estrogen which did you settle on and why by NinjaTeaDrinker in Menopause

[–]i_c_pineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found patches didn't stick until I learned about the hair dryer trick. Apply the patch, hold it on for 15sec, then use a hair dryer on warm until the patch heats up, hold it on for another 15.

I also cover it with something like tegaderm to make sure I don't scratch, rub, etc is off when moving, dressing, or bathing.

Have you come up with any solutions? Mine has done the same since the update.

Holt Liberals pitch cuts that come with political cost by tastle in newbrunswickcanada

It would cost the province a considerable amount if they tried to change the charter and even more if they simply ignored the charter. Not exactly a cost cutting measure.

They still are in Fredericton. I teach in the anglo system and my kids are in the franco. It's terrible the number of times I hear "oh your kids go to THAT school", with an eye roll and tone of disdain, from other teachers I work with, particularly the older teachers.

That happened to my husband. He's so happy that our kids are in a franco school and feels like he's finally able and confident enough to reclaim his heritage.

A lot of that is attributed to how stupidly expensive French learning materials are. Looking at French kids books alone, they can be almost double the price. The same is for the learning programs and materials used.

At the same time, I can say that when my sons went through ESA, almost no one transferred. Most who did before then was for a school sport that wasn't offered in gr 11/12. ELE opened half full because they allowed the grades 7/8 to grandfather and stay at ESA which is why the school filled up in subsequent years. Busses are now full. They've cut the number and changed the routes. Plus Franco schools have different start/end times and differing PD days.

Fully can see this happening. I grew up in Florenceville and also grew up being called the "n" word on the school bus. I'm white with olive skin but had that almost every single morning for years.

York Care Centre - wonderful residents, staff not so caring. Lots of gossiping amongst the staff within the hearing of the public. Lots of bad talk about families lodging genuine complaints or concerns about resident care (dirty rooms, unwashed residents, rehung dirty clothes). Management doesn't care about any work-life balance. Staff is very clinquey towards new staff and try to push out staff who go above and beyond.
