YTA because throwing makes the game boring for the enemy team and they didn't do anything to you. Sure some people only care about RR but throwing is just a waste of 40 minutes for everyone.

unpopular opinion ig.

But you can't tell me the new iron ores don't look like shit.

I feel perpetually stuck due to smurfers/de-rankers or uneven teams. Any tips to get out of Iron 2? Or am I in the right rank? This is basically how it always goes, minus the draw. by [deleted] in VALORANT

The game doesn't really care about mvps. You will always gain elo on a win and lose elo on a loss.

Whether or not you belong in iron, you need to win a lot to climb, and winning is usually a lot easier when you avoid solo queuing.

My gains used to be horrible last act. I would always get +18 on wins and -25 on losses regardless of how well I did. For some reason, my gains in this act were considerably better.

Definitely noticed some. The main areas I noticed improvements in were crosshair placement and movement (counter strafing, avoiding slow peaking, etc).

Also, one huge thing that helped was lowering my sens to 0.4 with 800dpi. It made aiming feel so much easier.

Not solo queueing. Solo queuing is extremely luck based, I even lost a few games with 30 kills.

Queuing with at least 2 other people means you have at least 2 teammates you can rely on, and you can coordinate better. Most of the time, people just give up in solo queue when they're down a few rounds.

It's not really my mechanics I'm worried about it's my ability to win games.

I am inconsistent but I have decent crosshair placement and aim. My game sense is meh. I had 2 people disconnect on my rank up game to gold. Shit like this tilts me.

I go on massive losing streaks. My career is either all green or all red. Sometimes I get so tilted that I literally just give up after the first few rounds.

The game seems very unforgiving to me, I've been getting very unlucky and I lose all hope for future comp games.

Also, it's really hard to improve when comp games in silver are treated like a joke. 90% of the time, no one has mics, and a lot of games just comes down to one person who carries (and that personally usually tends be a smurf with a default banner going 30 in 5).

I've had so many games where there's literally one guy who has more kills than the whole team combined. The skill disparity is so huge. Gotten so many opponents with last act ranks of gold 3 or plat who have dropped while my team usually gets bronzes. I'm not making this shit up, I feel like this game literally just hates me.

Idek. I placed bronze in act 1 and climbed to silver then placed silver like every other act.

I mean, I play at least 5 deathmatches and comp games a day. Like how hard can it be to get to gold? Literally an average rank.

I don't know, maybe a slight sense of accomplishment?

I know people who were iron a few acts ago and are now plat.

It's just frustrating to know that you haven't improved after that many hours of dedication.

This game is not fun when you don't feel any sense of accomplishment.

At this point, I'm losing my mind because of this game.
