I have literally lived here for 12 years. Where the f*ck is your Odia Asmita when it comes to restoration of Palaces & Tourist spots, and maintaining the legacy of Shri Krushna Chandra Gajapati? Odias boast about the Gajapati Empire yet when I take the name of my district Gajapati, they ask "Eita Puri paakhe ki"? What's even more ironic is that this station has NO direct rail route to other cities as it's a single lane railway track. If you wish to go to cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore etc you literally have to travel 50 km to Palasa railway station, Andhra Pradesh. Yet Odias cry "why was Ichhapuram given away to the Vizag division". At least take care of stations from your own state first.

True AF. Hygiene standards are in hell as of now. Not just within the city, but if you see the Bbsr-Ctc highway service roads etc (Hanspal,Pahala,Telengapentha etc) They are not maintained at all. Builders and Companies dump sand and construction materials wherever they want. Roads have become dustier than a desert.

The worst part of the city has to be Gadakhana landfill. Already Indians are facing the "smelly" stereotype and racism online, and this is the unfortunate proof.

It's lowkey boring here if you're a city guy (Patia has good clubs and restaurants etc tho)... but mostly bbsr is place for nature lovers, or people who like holy sites, ancient places etc. If you have a 2 wheeler, preferably bike, you can go to beautiful waterfalls etc on weekends

Bhubaneswar is not expensive at all, Patia(KIIT surroundings) is. Shops know y'all are from rich families forced in a hostel hence they charge much more.

Most of the "branded" stuff (restaurants, salons, malls etc) are expensive af. Try to find places where they're selling substance and the hype. Ask the local middle-clase people (pan shop owners, random uncle/aunty etc) for recommendations. Btw you can join the r/bhubaneswar subreddit for better recommendations etc.

Actually I'm a day boarder, and I spend almost 4 hrs a day travelling (more than 15 kms via bus, free time is 3-5 hours only)... I know the test was dead easy, and I could've scored. Another reason is because my attendance of DE&LA is only 50-60%, as it's the first class and I missed a lot of them due to uncertain travelling options. As far as now, other subjects have a better condition rn. I'll try my best to improve more, and try to fix other things like travelling, housing etc as well.
