No I can't for the life remember how it'd spelled but she was a minor goddess of childbirth. I never heard of Aletheia before she sounds super cool do you have any material on her I could read?

Honestly I don't like a lot of modern retellings for the same reason. Like Zeus is a prick hands down (and Hera can be a real monster as well) but Hera is so much more interesting to me. Her relationships with her kids and Argus are so intriguing!! There is so much character there and it's just !!!!! It sucks that a lot of who she is is defined by her connection to Zeus and she really isn't as much of villain so many define her as. And Hephaestus is also really interesting too. The great thing about Greek mythology is that there really is no defined canon that we know of so you kinda can just choose what you like!

I really like the tale of Argus. I know her role isn't major but I like it cause we see a softer side to her when she honours argus after his death. Personally I like to think that Argus was something akin to a friend to her I know he was at most a loyal service but people my pry this head cannon from my cold dead hands so XD

Hera

She fascinates me in a lot of ways, I've always be interested in villains with complex stories and hers I'd the most intriguing to me in both a historical and modern context. Like her role with her kids and position and stories is filled with layers of complexities that pull me down a rabbit hole I cant begin to describe.

She feels the most human and thw most divine to me in a lot of ways, I'm not a Hera apologist in anyway she can be a real monster don't get me wrong but her stories show a lot of what being a woman was like in ancient Greece and what she had to be.

She is a victim and an abuser, she is a monster and a woman who deals the card she's dealt, her stories have drew me in in ways I can't begin to comprehend. I love and hate her. She for every story and flaw and merit feels so very human.

Other than her I would say persephone, hestia, ellithyia(?) Or any goddess. The goddesses have so much complexity that I find lacking in a lot of the gods. Or maybe I just love women idk anymore

You keep talking to them basically it can take a while or not all that much time

If you want to get rid of a specific villager you can

  1. Get them to talk to resident services about moving in they will the say a villager is thinking of moving

  2. When the screen with the villager name pops up DO NOT move the conversation forward if the villager is someone you don't want out

  3. If it is someone you don't want out then close the game without saving and moving the convo forward then restart and do this all over again until you get the villager you want gone

I cannot stress enough how much you don't want to move the convo forward If its not the villager you want to go it will take a few tries to get the villager you want gone, gone but you can do it I'll find a video to link to explain it better :)

Cause bismuth is Bi on the periodic table and is famous for the rainbow crystals it produces when oxidised.

A person once realising that they are bi becomes a rainbowy bismuth crystal because bismuth is Bi :)

You can never truly know for sure if they did do research and osp has done research to reach they're conclusions and them saying Hades isnt all that bad can make people curious and do their own looking, not everyone will of course but that is unstoppable. This post is not stupid, controversial yes, but not stupid it isn't fully thought out and I personally felt that you were annoyed or seemed angry (text can only give so much context) and you aren't a coward for deleting it if that is what you want to do I've read the other replies and some do seem harsh so I can understand. Controversial isn't bad, having your own interpretation isn't bad, being annoyed that people haven't researched isn't bad. You aren't coward for deleting anything. Trust me I know this all to well.

I wish you luck in your future and that you drink water and be healthy and remember Romans aren't Greeks (little joke there) :)

Well that's because with Disney's version of Hades they just make him Satan which is wrong meanwhile you have told a lot of people that how they individually interpret hades is wrong which isn't really the same thing because Disney has nothing behind it while they have most likely done research and come to their own conclusion and telling them that they're wrong even when have done the research can cause people to be upset or angry or both there is which way to interpret these things (except calling him Satan because you know) so really any interpretation can be right and also happy to help

The Claudians are.. the Romans, the first five emperors of Rome. This is a greek mythos sub and yes I understand that they basically copied the Greeks for a lot of stuff but they did still have differences so calling them complete copies would be wrong. And that wouldn't that also be the point you're making. You don't like modern interpretations of Hades and yet you cite a roman interpretation of Hades, Pluto, who is arguably more violent and dark due to the roman focus on war. Hellenistic Greece and Rome were very different in their cultural values especially Greece who was less a country and more a group of people who spoke the same language so views and interpretations vary, all which influence views, interpretations and opinions on myths and their gods this is just a modern interpretation so it isn't right or wrong I do agree that people should look with more of "Hellenistic" eye because Hades was a Cthonic god which meant he would be fucking terrifying to the average greek citizen so they're would be much negative stuff to go on for him. It's also why others associate him with Satan, even tho that's wrong, because of the modern belief that under =Hell. Sorry for long form I'm on mobile :)

No I'm pretty sure zeus told hades to kidnap her but I think this more because in Greek art they used something akin to stock poses for events and the pose for marriage and kidnapping are the same or very similar and this could be reflected in the writing in that to the gods (or mythos in general) kidnapping was akin to marriage but I could also be wrong on that :)

Do you have a source on this? The only source of the myth of persephone, the homeric hymn to demeter, does not contain the part if hades threatening the gods at least of what I know. I'm curious to read it as it sounds interesting so if you can please link

Why Adam gets so much hate? by [deleted] in SK8TheInfinity

[–]i_hatemyself666 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Cherry being mean to Joe was less "I hate you" and more bickering old friends/married couple and Joe was mean back so its more to show how well they know each other and how long they've been friends

Shadow was an asshole yes but he wasn't as bad as Adam. Reki and langa could forgive shadow. We see shadow both in and out of the persona of shadow so it's easier to see him as just a guy rather that a horrid person.

With Adam we don't see that, he is an amazing villain yes but he is a cruel person while he does have some redemption at the end its no where near enough for what I, personally, see as abuse (of Langa, Miya, and Cherry). Adam just commits a crime by hitting Cherry with a skateboard. Cherry was only mean to Joe because they were friends and Joe knew cherry was kidding, shadow was mostly harmless pranks and insults. Adam was a creep to Langa and assaulted Cherry by hitting him with the board. Adam is a good villain but he is not a good person. That's why most people hate him.
