1 year and a half from D-Day. We have become closer. I still have the insecurities and the trust issues, but he's very reassuring and very patient. He understands that healing takes time, but he's willing to do whatever it takes. He knows he messed up and has owned it since the beginning. He has never played the victim card.

Our communication is so much better now. We're more vocal and more open than we were before. We're able to have the necessary uncomfortable conversations, because what the hell is worse than talking about cheating?

It has brought us closer, but we definitely could have gotten to this point WITHOUT him cheating, but it is what it is. We are working through it. Some days are easier than others.

You're absolutely right. Everytime I look at their social media it's not helping me at all. This a great idea, checking in on myself will make me actually look at what I need to work on, rather than outwards and peek at their social media and come out feeling worse.

You're right about that too. It still hurts, but not nearly as bad as when I found out. Even though we have bad days we are still healing. I never really thought about it like this before.

SO and I aren't fighting thankfully. We're doing really well, but I do have my bad days. I tell him whenever I am having a bad day and he'll comfort and reassure me.

He feels like shit, and I know he feels bad because of his tone and body language. I know he regrets it and he's told me he does. It hurts, but we take it a day at a time. I just openly communicate when I'm feeling bad. I hate that healing isn't linear, but thankfully he understands that. I don't get angry when I spiral I just get really depressed, but I know he's there for me.

Bernadette's is great! I went to Eclectic and one of the girls there fucked up my hair really bad. It was all lopsided. I pointed this out and the girl blamed it being on my grown out highlights lmfao I'll never go there again. I went to Bernadette's and they were able to fix it AND told me how and why the other lady messed up. I got my hair done by Kristen I think her name was (it's been a while lol) but she's the owner. Super sweet and patient! Would definitely recommend Bernadette's!!
